They'll all be gay - except Mrs. Kravitz.

Doesn’t anyone have an ORIGINAL idea in Hollywood?
In a word, no.

Remember the failed 2005 reboot of “Kojak” starring Ving Rhames as a Greek-descended police detective . . . ?!?

Whatever happened to one of the networks planning a reality program “The Beverly Hillbillies”?

How 'bout a show about Muslims who move the Southern California, they can call it "The Bel-Arabs."

(Yes, I stole that from SNL)

No Thank You. I will stick with the Originals. I now watch shows I wouldnt have wasted time on a few years ago, Gomer Pyle when it was first on I hated it now I find it funny. Bewitched is a different story I never liked it then and still hate it now.

Made about as much sense as Will Smith playing James West. Actually, if done right, I could see a remake of The Wild, Wild West being very successful. But of course, they'd find a way to foul that up, just like they did with the movie.

I bet this time they get some gay guy to play Darren.

Who needs a Darren when Tabitha Has Two Mommies is an available title for the show?

I also grew up during the 50s/60s and I disliked all of those shows for the same reasons. The Munsters were ok but that show was meant to be schlock for entertainment. I most disliked Leave It to Beaver; I didn’t know anyone who lived like that and behaved like that.

The island had lots of visitors but none of them took the castaways back with them. Not even Ginger or Maryann. God I hated that show.

“Uncle Arthur was about as flamboyant as you get.”

####

For the 1960’s.

And therein lies the point. Yeah we all knew he was queer, but we didn’t have to:

1) Be hit over the head with his inmost gay thoughts, continually. Sexual innuendo reaquired. Constantly .

2) Be preached to about the “lifestyle” as just another “choice”.

3) Suffer through the heroic attributes of his character, particularly vis-a-vis any heterosexual males.

Uncle Arthur was a bitchy, sarcastic fag, and that was funny. And enough.

They did have a gay character! Wasn’t Paul lynde on that show?

Darren will have to go to rehab after 4 episodes, with that heavy drinking he always did. Bad news: he needed a drink. Really bad: he needed a double. The update could include a cocaine habit.

Can a remake of “My Mother the Car”, be far behind?

Yes, but this time Mom comes back as a hybrid.
