I think Kinky Friedman said it perfectly last night on The O'Reilly Factor.

It comes down to this: do you prefer a president who doesn't believe in evolution, or do you prefer a president that doesn't believe in Israel?

That counts for something.

I believe God created the universe and man...and it is up to Man to figure out the science....from the big bang to Olduvai gorge...to cave drawings.....to now and into the future as we travel through his universe......it is what he wants us to do....

what else would a God who created man in his own image and likeness want of his creation???

“To be clear I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy”.

Okay, I will.

More than that, I'll call you a moron.

I have it on good authority that those cave drawing are forgeries, much like all of Obama's birth certificates, and were most likely photo shopped.

Wants but not as needed, as God needs nothing, (Acts 17:25; Ps. 50:9-13) an is the One from whom every good and perfect gift comes, but He commands love and worship of Him for man’s own good, as man will love and worship either the created, which is finite and can deceive, or the almighty Eternal Creator, who cannot fail or mislead. To love and worship God is the right thing to do and to our benefit, while God endures with much longsuffering the rebellion of man who loves darkness over light, sin over Him, and “worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Rm. 1:25)

And how often do i in some way,

Perhaps like an artist that simply enjoys the work of creation, the work of his hands.

And what parent does not cherish the warmth of returned love.

one way to show God your love is to use the brain he gave you...

Actually you show God your love by true obedience.

Daily examine yourselves and if you find offense[s]
confess and repent.

So daily we strive to hit the mark of perfection and
daily we are to examine our every thought, word, and action
and test them against God’s Word and our own conscience.

Humility trumps pride every time from the Creators viewpoint.

Actually, He told us EXACTLY how to show our love - obedience.

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”

How totally clueless.....

God tells us how to show our love to Him. Do you really, seriously think that making something up on your own and pretending that He approves of it is showing love to God?

Matthew 25:34-46

34Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' 40And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' 44Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?' 45Then he will answer them, saying, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' 46And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

John 21:15-19

15When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." 16He said to him a second time,"Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep." 17He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go." 19(This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, "Follow me."

1 Corinthians 13

1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Knowledge of Christ is all that counts.

Here, for a word study for anyone who does not get what knowledge it is that really counts.

Great link metmom!

I was thinking mainly of 2 verses as I was writing post 13. The one below and the one MrB posted in #14 prior.

“And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
