Actress Daryl Hannah has been arrested in front of the White House along with other environmental protesters who oppose a planned oil pipeline from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.
The sit-in Tuesday involved dozens protesting the Keystone XL pipeline. It would go through Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas to refineries in Houston and Port Arthur, Texas.Before she was arrested, Hannah told The Associated Press the protesters want to be free from dependence on fossil fuels. The group calls for clean energy investments instead. Hannah says they hope President Barack Obama will not bow to oil lobbyists.Hannah sat down on the sidewalk near the White House and refused orders from U.S. Park Police to move.She has been arrested in the past for environmental causes.
Actually, she is running her Trans Am on pure alcohol. I didn’t get to hear the source but that is what she claims.
I have to hand it to her, at least she is a lib that puts her money where her mouth is instead of preaching to the rest of us how to live while they live another.

Free from dependence on fossil fuels? Fine. Walk home. Do it naked and barefoot because your clothing and shoes are manufactured using petroleum. Eat only what you can produce. Don’t steal food from folks who don’t have a problem using fossil fuels. Sit in the dark. No candles, kerosene lamps or electrical devices...unless created completely without “fossil” fuels. BTW, show me the damn “fossils”. Especially from 10,000 feet below the surface. I’m betting oil is an abiotic material. No “fossils” involved. Hypocrite, anti-capitalist nutballs.

The steel came from a steel mill, by way of an iron smelter and iron mine. The aluminum was from a bauxite mine, then a reduction plant. The copper was mined and smelted. The lead was mined. The leather seats came from a feedlot and slaughterhouse. Every component was moved by trucks and rail and ships. Every step of the way in manufacturing took electricity and oil and gas and water and air.
But she can wear that bizarre smug face, safe in the knwoledge that she isn’t contributing to pollution in her grease burner.
Not to mention what do you heat your mash to make your pure alcohol? Bet it takes more energy to make the alcohol than it would if she bought gas. Pure cult worship.

Kinda feel sorry for Daryl tho. Total idiot but her movie career never took off and she lost John Jr. because of his mother’s disapproval and she was soooo pretty. Not any more though.
If the mermaid wants all this attention, throw her ass in an all male prison. Then she can get all the attention she is craving.
I’m sick and tired of all these brainless liberals (I know double negative) who think they can think. They just need to stay on the big screen, do their acting and shut the hell up. This includes that idiot in the Idiot Chicks. Decent music, bad attitude.
Hannah driving her car on biofuels is a symbolic stunt at best. If someone audited her lifestyle, those evil oil products would be evident everywhere. The house she lives in, the car she drives, the mass transit she takes, the clothes she wears, the medicines she takes, the food she eats, everything has a link back to oil or coal. Unless you live a total lifestyle from 200 years ago, you will depend on fossil products to some extent. Heck, even the Amish have some dependency on oil - that isn’t whale oil burning in their lamps.
