OK, so what am I going to use in "Jack and Cokes?" instead of Coke? (Vanity "plus")

Since Coke is giving $ to the WWF, I don't want to buy their product. What is a good substitute for my "Jack & Cokes"? I don't care for "Jack & Pepsi".

Whenever my wife overdoes it on the credit cards she fixes me a Straight Jack, lights me a good cigar and puts on some Willie Nelson.

If my wife ever does that, she better put my Willie in a full nelson.

I was going to get a Soda Stream until I went to their site and saw the Komen logo. Too bad, I really like to try to support Andrew Wilkow’s sponsors.

Captain and Ginger. Very dangerous. Tastes like cream soda.

I have just three words for you: Single Malt Scotch!

I'll second that.

I don’t know, but if I boycotted every company that ticked me off politically I’d be forced to live in the woods as a hunter-gatherer.

That reminds me: The Germans like lemonade and beer—mixed 50/50. I can’t remember what it’s called.

Yeah me too.

Good booze doesn’t need any mixer.

Have you ever thought about mixing Jack with root beer? If so, I can recommend the best root beer on the face of the earth called Thomas Kemper Root Beer.

Jack and Ginger Ale, Don’t waste your $ buying it, have the wife make it. (Ducks from flying frying pan headed his way)
Then have her bring you the drink. (Ducks again)

Ginger Ale

Recipe courtesy Alton Brown, 2008

Prep Time:
15 min
Inactive Prep Time:
49 hr 0 min
Cook Time:
3 min

Level:
Easy

Serves:
about 2 quarts

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces finely grated fresh ginger
6 ounces sugar
7 1/2 cups filtered water
1/8 teaspoon active dry yeast
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

Place the ginger, sugar, and 1/2 cup of the water into a 2-quart saucepan and set over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, cover and allow to steep for 1 hour.

Pour the syrup through a fine mesh strainer set over a bowl, pressing down to get all of the juice out of the mixture. Chill quickly by placing over and ice bath and stirring or set in the refrigerator, uncovered, until at least room temperature, 68 to 72 degrees F.

Using a funnel, pour the syrup into a clean 2-liter plastic bottle and add the yeast, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups of water. Place the cap on the bottle, gently shake to combine and leave the bottle at room temperature for 48 hours. Open and check for desired amount of carbonation. It is important that once you achieve your desired amount of carbonation that you refrigerate the ginger ale. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, opening the bottle at least once a day to let out excess carbonation.

Why on earth would you want to add some sugary liquid to whiskey anyway? Yuck.If you want to drink a kids’ sweet drink, just have Kool-Aid. There’s enough sweetness in Jack Daniels to begin with.

A good substitute for Coca Cola is RC Cola!

Scotch on the rocks or with a splash of water.

That's fine with Scotch, which is a smooth, more-or-less delicate potation. American whisky, on the other hand, has a powerful flavor that doesn't get lost when it's mixed. I find bourbon and cola to be an especially appealing combination; the two seem to mesh really well.

Just man up an give Coke the penny or two profit.

You may have set a new record for not reading the article (vanity). It isn't Coke's profit he objects to, it is the donation to the World Wildlife Fund that Coke is making.

Me? I'd rather do without than fund a libtard mess like that.
