According to The Learning Channel, "All-American Muslim" program is a "powerful series" taking viewers "inside the rarely seen world of American Muslims." And it uncovers a "unique community struggling to balance faith and nationality."
Critics, however, say it is nothing more or less than a video version of jihad.
Islam analyst Pamela Geller says that perspective on the show is also its danger.
"Clearly this program is designed to counter the fictional threat of 'Islamophobia' by showing Muslims who aren't terrorist monsters, but ordinary people living ordinary lives, balancing tradition and modern life, dealing with their families, their jobs, and a host of other issues."
"It is an attempt to manipulate Americans into ignoring the threat of jihad and to bully them into thinking that being concerned about the jihad threat would somehow victimize these nice people in this show. Geller said.
"The problem people have with Islam is its teachings of violence against and the subjugation of unbelievers. It is with the supremacist ideology and the fervent believers in those noxious doctrines of warfare and subjugation," Spencer also said.
Geller adds that the ultimate danger posed by a program presenting the "normal" side of life for American Muslims is that it isn't accurate.
"The danger is in the deception and obfuscation of the truth which results in the intellectual disarming of the American people," Geller also said.
Dearborn often is called "Dearbornistan" by cultural critics because it has the largest concentration of Arab peoples outside of the Middle East.
Dearborn has also grown progressively more compliant with Shariah law. The city recently was the subject of controversy when members of a Christian group wanted to hand out Christian literature at a public park during a Muslim festival and were arrested and charged with creating a public nuisance.

I’ve seen ads for the show and I roll my eyeballs every time.
Some idiot on tonight’s show converts from Catholic Christian to Muslim to marry some Islamic beeatch. I think TLC needs some emails setting the record straight on this so called religion.
How many of the reality show participants are going to be slaughtered by their fathers in “honor killings?”
A more realistic reality show would be “MOSLEMS ON THE RUN.”
It would center on the most common victims, such as teenage daughters. Each would flee to a different city after escaping from......
#1 Acid attack (by their father)
#2 Vehicular attack (by their mother, father, and uncles trying to run them over in a van)
#3 Machete attack (by their brother)
The climax of the series could be a USA judge sentencing the runaway daughter to return to her moslem family (and face certain slaughter).
The postscript to the show would be some text onscreen: “MOHAMMEDINA THE MOSLEM DAUGHTER WAS SLAUGHTERED IN COLD BLOOD BY HER FATHER/MOTHER/BROTHERS 48 HOURS AFTER THIS EPISODE WAS FILMED.”

I would love to ask the muslims on that show several questions.
1. Do you apply abbrogation when interperting conflicts in the koran? the correct answer is NO because they can explain away the last sura.
2. Do you own and read a Bible (New and Old Testaments) along with your koran? the correct answer is YES because Jesus and Abraham are considered profits of islam along side muhammed.
3. Do you consider Hamas, the muslim brotherhood or fatah a terrorist organization? The correct answer is YES.
However I’m sure that any of their answers would be a bunch of hemming and hawing and avoiding a straight answer all together.

If a person, persons, groups or communities were truly all working together to a common goal they would just say no, and would back it up with whatever means to “salt the earth” against Moslem invasion.
