Surprise! America's favorite meal may be secretly dedicated to Allah

As you sit down with your family on Thanksgiving and consider offering a prayer of gratitude, be aware the turkey at the center of the table may have already been "blessed" – in the name of Allah.

Customer service representatives from Butterball, one of America's most popular Turkey brands, confirmed to WND that the company's whole turkeys are – without being labeled as such – slaughtered according to Islamic "halal" standards.

"Halal slaughter involves cutting the trachea, the esophagus and the jugular vein and letting the blood drain out while saying, 'Bismillah allahu akbar'

It's like eating a sacrifice to Satan.
I'm not eating one. The darn things have been cursed.

I think this dude named "Paul" had the same kind of situation happen in some place called "Corinth":

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

If you are so weak in your faith that eating a Butterball Turkey will cause you distress, then do not do so. But I will pray that you will move beyond this weakness.

Well good. Yesterday I had the choice to buy Butterball turkey. I chose the other brand. That will be my continuing choice: NOT Butterball

Does anyone beleive that even if this were true that Butteball would confirm this with WND that its true?

I don’t recognize their so-called “religion” anyway, so if the cultists want to bark at their moon god while prepping it up, I really don’t care, so long as they’re not putting anything in or on the turkey that shouldn’t be there.

Doesn’t make sense. How can Butterball have enough manpower to do this? It’s not as though the Catholic Mexican working on the line is qualified to recite an Islamic prayer.

I’m having Ham for thanksgiving. I really suspect that it is not dedicated to Allah.

We get a dressed turkey from some Millerites (or some similar group of families) who raise the birds without chemicals. They're a little more expensive but they do taste good.

IIRC many mid west meat packing plants are employed by middle eastern types. I remember a few articles over the years that say Hormel had a huge islamic employee base.

Oh please. It just creeps me out. Would you eat a Turkey handed to you by an OWS protester who's been living in squallier for 3 months? Probably not. Why? BECAUSE IT'S CREEPY. You KNOW where it's been!

Okay, here’s what I’d like know: can meat, or for that matter any food, be Kosher and halal at the same time. I thought a rabbi had to be present during the slaughter. I don’t know any rabbis to ask , but I am curious.

Kosher is as close to Halal as Moslems can get in predominantly non-Moslem countries, so they actually are the largest consumers of Kosher products in those countries.

Differences between Kosher and Halal

If it sells more turkeys and keeps the costs low, it is fine by me!

Butterball is the most expensive brand in the store. The iman must get a nice salary. Our birds have always been either wild or the cheapest brand. Hoping the cheap ones weren't pre-cursed.
