As Mark Steyn said on Rush last week, we’re going to have a deeply flawed candidate and it’s up to us to drag him across the finish line as a winner.

>>Some counties tend to be more conservative but no Florida is not really conservative anymore; too many illegal aliens and retired/relocated libs.

Florida is two states. The north and panhandle is conservative and southern. The south is yankee liberals and hispanics. Unfortunately, demographics are beating the good people and our state is turning into California-East.

Exactly. And then once he wins, trash him mercilessly when he strays.

Glad you brought up Newt’s debate performances. When a guy builds his rep on his debating skills, he can’t afford to go flat the way he did in the FL debates.

I my opinion, Newt needs some hardened pros as top advisers. He has surrounded himself with too many whiz kids who are more kid than whiz. Good, hardened advisers would not have let him flatline in the FL debates.

Florida voters had trouble with the "butterfly ballot".

No one in the very long history of using that particular voting device had ever had problems like Florida had them.

Do not ever trust the judgment of the Florida population.

48 states to go. I am not down because Newt laid down the law in his speech and Santorum pulled out of Florida and is surging in other states. Either one is tons better than Romney. Otherwise I am going to vote 3rd party.

Romney will NOT be president. You can take that to the bank. It will be Obama or someone else.

Romney has 0.0% chance of winning.

I worked a Central florida polling place today for 8 hrs. Had a table set up outside to sign up people to fight Obama in 2012. Not pushing a candidate today but just listening and getting people signed up to work against Obama in 2012. The sad fact is that old person after old person pulled up into the handicap spots to vote. They were scared by the ads and admitted to voting for Mitt. I just want to share with the other states that Florida is not “you” We have a lot of old scared people who think that the need to vote for Mitt or they will be left to die. Keep up the good fight.

Analyzing Fl, it appears that Gingrich has won the majority of counties.

The larger counties, where the Mormon Bishop spent most of his 15 million, have put him over the top.

Santorum, another degenerate lawyer megalomaniac, the sweater vest wearing schmuck who couldn’t win reelection to the Senate in his own state, has over 200,000 votes, obviously staying in this to sabotage Gingrich.

MYTH ROMNEY is sadly mistaken if he thinks he can buy the WH.

He can’t.

Guys and Gals. Just 14 months ago, Florida did a clean sweep electing the most conservative options...they picked Rubio in a 3 way race, placed an outsider business man in the governor’s office, Picked up at least 4 seats for the House including dumping Grayson and adding Allen West, and placed the statehouse in an 80-20 Republican majority. It was arguably the biggest success story of the 2010 election cycle, having twice rejected Crist and basically swept the Dems out of power at all levels.

This result is not a sign of the state being liberal. It is all about the dynamics of this particular race at this particular time. The Romney/RNC machine used overwhelming force to knock Gingrich off his perch after SC. Much like Iowa, it illustrated Newt’s problems in this race. Yes, I voted for him, but this race showed how vulnerable he would be in the fall. Newt has huge positives and some real negatives. He also has an existing reputation that proceeds him in this race as the villain in the Clinton years. Much of the narrative is false, but it is well established and hard to beat.

Of the Republicans I know well...mostly all conservative...they were heavily influenced by the media/ad barrage and bought into the businessman side of Romney over a lifetime politician. Frankly, those that only pay some attention saw Romney as the outsider with a business background. There message worked, Newt’s didn’t. On we go to the next round.

Agreed ... Florida is really like NJ ... dominated by liberal NYC retirees along the east coast .... I live in Clearwater, one end of the famous I-4 co er ridor to Orlando ... Newt is fine tonight ... Romney was forced to reveal his ruthless Mormon evil side, and had to spend $ 15 for a Pyrric victory against Newt .... 13,000 TV ads to Newts 200 ? Political professionals know Willards a Dead Man Walking for Super Tuesday ... Santorum and Pawlenty have been exposed as Romney stooges ... Mitt also has burned his bridges with the Tea Party after his vicious ads against Newt ... Finally, how many of those Florida Snowbird RINO retirees will actually WORK Willards national campaign ? Almost zero ... Fortunately, Newt is already on the road to victory, so this is all academic. I’m keeping my Newt campaign sign in the front yard, and sending Newt another $ 100 this Friday ... Sleep well tonight, Patriots ...

I think’s it been clear since 2000 that Florida is the vending-machine of votes.

Interesting feedback. What was the message they were told that made them think Newt would leave them to die? I saw the ads this past week, but frankly tried to watch as little TV as possible to avoid the annoyance.

Florida failed the country. Bunch of northerners and northern attitudes. I’ve said it a hundred times in this forum ... Florida is NOT a part of the South. Don’t ever believe that it is.
