When Girl Scout cookie season starts up in your neighborhood, those earnest young saleswomen bearing boxes of sweets may be armed with a new secret weapon: a mobile credit-card reader attached to their smartphones.
That's right people. The Girl Scouts have firmly entered the digital age, and our waistlines may never recover.
Think of the implications: Before, if you saw a tempting table laden with Samoas and Thin Mints outside the grocery store, being low on cash could prevent you from buying a box or two, or five, or 10.
Not anymore.

My favorite is when parents bring them to work to sell. People who I *never* have anything to do with and purposely avoid like the plague....come up to you and start begging for an order. Whatzupwitdat? The usual excuse ...*I just bought 100 boxes from the GS who lives across the street from me.*..only problem, if anyone was paying attention to my lame excuse........would know by now, the little GS who lives across the street ....would be 108 y/o and a great-grandmother by now. :)

1. The cookies ARE good.
2.I have one credit card and charge everything I buy...even a gallon of milk. I pay it in full, never pay a interest fee, and get points...once $500 check back.
I don't have to write a lot of checks or go to the bank for cash.
I write 3 checks a month to pay bills...others are put on CC or go thru bank. When my utility company starts to take CC, I'll write 2 checks per month to pay bills.
I hate to write checks and mail bills!

You would give you CC to an 8 y/o and expect it to remain secure?

I disagree about the cookies being good...but then again I am some what spoiled...I have a wife and several daughters that bake home made cookies on regular occasions. And sorry, Girl Scout cookies cannot compare.
I have made one purchase in my life on a credit card. The company offered me a great deal on my first purchase so I made one purchase...cut up the card...paid my bill...and canceled the card...that was over 25 years ago. No regrets here.

JUST SAY NO!
The reasons are EASY
-I have already bought some cookies
-I am in training
-I don’t use credit cards
-HANG A NO SOLICITING sign next to your door.
-My doctor said no
These little girls (or parentally confused boys) are being USED as PAWNS in a political ploy. No reason to hurt them when a simple “no thank you” works well.
Starve the beast of money.

good? odd, they tasted like saw dust. It seemed to be all the low end processed ingredients.
Remember these are knockoffs of commercial cookies rebranded for those easily attacked via guilt.

When my kids were little, the three of them harassed anything with a pulse, to buy from their Scout *Tom Watt* kits [don't get me started] ...I feel an obligation to return the favors granted....but find my *excuse* work just find now.
Times have changed. Heh. :)
