I got 21 out of 50.

That qualifies me to be a Democrat, and must’ve voted for Al Gore.

I’m going off to occupy Wall Street now, oh, wait. It’s cold in NY. I’m going off to occupy mom’s house.

Well I only got 58%, but I’m proud of that! Some of those questions were difficult! I should pay more attention to the science shows my husband and kids watch all the time. ;o)

46/50. My last two degrees were in finance, but my first was in microbiology. However, I have an unfair advantage ... our son is a high school senior with plans to major in theoretical physics ... imagine our dinner conversations.

Well I got the first 5 right before my computer jumped back to the post page. Now my guy is yelling it is way past our bedtime. Oh, well tomorrow is another day.

43 out of 50, which may or may not answer the question, since no definition of "literate" is suggested.
Other factors coming into play is that I never took academic courses in biology, astronomy or genetics, but am self-taught.

With my 5 year-old computer, I give myself top grades for patience and endurance, as it took 1hr-45m to complete the quiz in the middle of the freaking night.

Got 49 of 50. Missed the question on the meaning of Nimbus.
Quite challenging for an on-line quiz. I liked the fact that it really was a science quiz, and not a science “news” quiz.

That was fun, thanks for posting. With a score of 37, it’s a good thing no one is depending on me to make scientific advances.

Got the first 6 correct and then got tired of waiting for the page to refresh.

Even getting all right doesn't make you a scientist. BS Trivia.

That site bogs down my computer. I’d say they are up to something. Too much snooping into my computer.

Yeah, that was starting to bother me too. I quit after #12.

I also managed 37 out of 50, but felt I should have gotten a few more right. There was only three questions I got wrong where the right answer wasn’t my 2nd choice (except for the one where I clicked the wrong button and hit enter before I realized I had messed up).

One question I only got right because I watched the movie “Twilight”. Another answer was easy because of the movie “2001”.

And I got the history questions wrong, not knowing the name of scientists or what started genetics.

Most embarrassing was screwing up Bernoulli’s principle because I didn’t look at all the choices before answering.

I think I would have done better if the web page wasn’t so tedius, I got to where I was trying to rush through just to get done.

I’ll have to see if my daughter can do better, being as she just graduated high school. For being out 32 years and not working in a scientific field, I feel I did OK. I wish they told us what percentile we ended up in.

37 out of 50.
I think that is probably above average for someone who has had no science classes in 43 years.

I did terrible. Got 30 out of 50. The ones I did know were a result of learning as an adult and teaching science to my children. I wasn’t taught ANY of that is school.

I do much better with history and the Constitution. Maybe after the Hillsdale College ‘Constitution 101” course is done, I should look for a science course to take. :)
