Obama State Department set to cede oil-rich Alaska islands to Russia.

Obama’s State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians. Yes, to the Putin regime in the Kremlin. … The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. The Russians are also to get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.

The State Department has undertaken the giveaway in the guise of a maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia. Astoundingly, our federal government itself drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side. But as an executive agreement, it could be reversed with the stroke of a pen by President Obama or Secretary Clinton.

The agreement was negotiated in total secrecy. The state of Alaska was not allowed to participate in the negotiations, nor was the public given any opportunity for comment. This is despite the fact the Alaska Legislature has passed resolutions of opposition – but the State Department doesn’t seem to care.

If these islands belong to Alaska now, where in the Constitution does the fedgov get the power to dispose of them and give them to a foreign power?

Where?

This OUGHT to be Obama’s waterloo moment, but I have this feeling it won’t be.

We are now the SOMNAMBULENT NATION, sleepwalking through our own destruction, a nightmare we seem unwilling to awake from.

I'm trying to rationalize this myself. Since the power to acquire territory is considered inherent, maybe he thinks that inherent power works in reverse? I can't believe I'm writing this, but I miss Bill Clinton.

OK, this is like the 7th time it has been posted, and it is very misleading.

The Department of State has NEVER recognized any claim on these islands, and one of them was home to a small Soviet Colony from 1926 onward, as well as a small Soviet Airbase, and Early Warning Radar site in to the late 70’s.

These are Russia’s, already ceded by a treaty the Russians haven’t approved, for something like 20 years.

No, it won’t be. The fools, idoits,American haters, and parasites now outnumber the sane people and producers. And they love and worship him. Their only critism of him is that he isn’t moving fast enough to destroy the United States.

The resulting U.S.-U.S.S.R. Maritime Boundary Treaty was passed by the Senate and ratified by former President George Bush in 1991. Russia, however, never ratified the treaty because its leaders complained that the U.S.S.R. didn’t benefit enough from it.

Nevertheless, former U.S. Secretary of State Jim Baker and the Soviet Union’s Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze signed a secretive executive agreement the year before that bound both governments to the treaty.

This is no surprise! We are in the midst of a complete commie takeover. If Bam gets reelected the move will be to remove the two term restriction for POTUS. Our children and grandchildren will be viewing an American flag with a hammer & sickle on it . This coming after a return to the welfare state, attacks on the 1st and 2nd amendment, refusal to drill to enhance the economy and on and on.

The media made fun of Sarah Palin when she said you could see Russia from Alaska, now she can say that parts of Russia use to be Alaska.

I couldn’t agree more. And all the while the Republicans in the House and Senate will hide in the tall grass and the candidates will endlessly debate gay marriage and religion. Who’s really to balme, Obama or our inability to mount any kind of attack on him?
