Same goes for men ironing clothes, especially before the first cup of coffee while hurrying to get out the door in the morning.
I was born and raised in Newport Beach, there’s lots of places that look like that...
When I was kid there was a guy down the street, I think on Santa Ana Blvd, maybe, who spent many years building a huge boat like that...when it came time to move it to the harbor the city had to take down a bunch of power lines, that was cool to see!

“This looks more like Costa Mesa, its right next to Newport Beach. I don’t know of any section of NB that looks like that.”
Get a map, go there and look at the part NB west of Newport Blvd, extending west to the bluffs, and northward to past 19th St. It is mixed zoning with residential and commercial, including boat building, etc.
“take the city to court... he is grandfathered in ( you cannot enforce an ordinance retroactively ) he will win hands down”

Psst, the effect of misspelling “affect” is jarring, no?
