The Total Recall (2012) trailer hit the internet today featuring Farrell, Kate Beckinsdale, Jessica Biel and Bryan Cranston. Heres the synopsis, according to IMDB: As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that hes a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight hes on. The movie is based on the Philip K. Dicks short story We Can Remember It for You Wholesale, which was turned into a movie in 1990 with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone, and Michael Ironside.

Or, maybe there are certain people trying to help others SEE and understand certain things.
Going to see movies puts money in the hands of those opposed to conservatives. As long as conservatives continue to pour money into their coffers then they have no right to complain about how the liberals will use it to donate to their socialist causes.
I was hoping my words would be taken kindly by fellow conservatives. I see I was wrong. Enjoy your movies.
I can see one of my sci-fi bookshelves from where I am typing this on the first shelf alone are at least twelve excellent novels that have never been made into movies.
Why in God's good name does Hollywood need to keep remaking movies especially Sci-Fi.
which one?
SciFi (before the name change) did a miniseries. It was more faithful to the books.
My wife and I see fewer and fewer theater pics. The price is unreasonable, the pics are usually lousy, and the audience of grubby kids on their cell phones is almost intolerable. My last large-screen CRT TV just died 8*( and I have to replace it with one of the inferior non-CRT ones.
Check out Colin Farrel in “Phone Booth”, pretty good short film.
Dick inspired a lot of movies that bore no relationship to the actual stories.
BTW, here’s how self righteous I am.
FERRELL HOSTS OBAMA FUNDRAISER
Even though it seemed like Hollywood’s love affair with Barack Obama was cooling down, news that Will Ferrell will host a fundraiser for the president’s reelection campaign next month in Los Angeles makes us feel warm. Along with a few others, the Anchorman star serves as a co-chair of a $35,800-a-plate dinner at the home of teevee producer Bradley Bell on February 15. Ferrell, of course, is an outspoken Obama supporter, having stood up for the president last fall, when his approval ratings were especially low./
I’d love to see a movie adaptation of Niven and Pournelle’s version of Inferno. I’m rereading it right now.
Talk about an intense movie.
The movie mid 80s
Will Ferrell is not Colin Ferrell.
If you’re going to act the righteous indignation, better have the subjects thereof straight.
The book sucked, the movie sucked, a remake would also suck!
Will Farrell is not Colin Ferrell..not even in the same class.
It is a way for the original makers to cash in on a existing revenue stream with new tech. there was no streaming / blueray or any internet in that day.
My parents took the whole family to Disney World/Epcot 2 years ago. A good friend chastised me for going to that liberal/pro homo vacation spot. Well, it one was one of the best vacations I have ever had.
There is more to life than politics. You need to enjoy life more. You will die one day and there will still be liberal and conservative bickering going on long after your bones have turned to dust.
Will Ferrell isn’t even the movie. You’re ranting for nothing.
There was a recent attempt at getting a “Dune” remake going, but last I heard it was languishing in development hell. Who knows if/when it’ll get made.
