Cops: Accused Prostitute Offered Undercover Officer Sex For Cheeseburgers Off McDonald's Dollar Menu

The woman, the detective reported, replied that the pair “could go have sexual intercourse if I bought her two double cheese burgers off the dollar menu at McDonald’s.” The cop added, “I agreed to the deal and purchased the hamburgers for $2.75.”

Vegas usually gets rain

I read that "Vegans usually gets rain." There's something going on that makes me post more-than-usually-stupid things between 0500 and 1700.

Be patient, the apartment will emerge.

Yep. Maybe that apartment would have been bad for you in one way or another. Whenever I've had some sort of disappointment, something better always popped up right around the corner. I am not kidding. Things like having a minor delay in leaving work and then having avoided being t-boned by a semi in an intersection....

Are you mocking my poor grammar n-t-i?

no ... am humbly going to go to the blackboard and write on the blackboard 1000 times ....
Thou shall not utilize a post to setup another post which was supposed to be funny when someone could be insulted.

Is my punishment severe enough? Me not know. Got any chalk?

To: Silentgypsy; everyone

Morning everyone. May everyones’ day be wonderful. Me be at the blackboard or greenboard today and tomorrow. Am being punished for trying to make a funny which was not funny. I knew I should have left my humor in that hole in the backyard. My error, I dug up humor to only have to go write about my lack of humor 1000 times.

Any day above ground is truly a compliment. May compliments come to all ... and if a compliment does not come to each of us, may condiments and napkins. It will help us all avoid shopping trips for hot sauce, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, and paper products.

"It’s averaging about 110 in the shade here in the city (Phoenix area), and that kind of heat island usually wrings whatever water there is out of the air."

There's water in the air in Phoenix? Who knew?

Speaking of things meteorological and in terms of degrees (at least probabilistically), check out this little true-life ditty:

Yesterday, as the family was preparing for dinner, we had a large pot filled with near-boiling water and ears of freshly-shucked corn. At this point, Mrs. Jetsome announced that it was time to walk our five dogs.

My daughter wanted to leave the stove burner on, on low, while we were away from the house, arguing that that way the corn would be done by the time we got back from our short walk.

I pointed up the danger of having a pot of boiling anything on the stove unattended, ever, and especially in a seismic zone where a large earthquake could strike at any time.

She pointed out that the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 was a once-every-1200-year event and was unlikely to recur anytime soon, so it would probably be cool to leave the pot alone on the lit stove for a few minutes.

I pointed out to her that there is no predicting when an earthquake will strike, and that one could happen "tomorrow."

We had a 5.4 magnitude tremblor near our area today that was enough to tumble items from store shelves at a retail outlet I happened to be checking out of at the time.

I resisted the urge to rub her nose in it when I came home today. Mostly.

Should I buy a lotto ticket now? Take out a second policy?

You can’t trust Germans. Dey ist der Master Race, you know. Sort of like cats, only more irritating.

And good morning, morning, hello sunshine, wake up, Ash. Yes, it’s only dog food in the bowl, but it beats peas and arugula, which is what the dragons got. Off we go to Petsmart for crickets, gerbil-nibble, and dog-gravy, which comes in odd varieties such as “Grilled flavors with chicken and sauce.”

Morning, y’all!

I hope I’m not being too forward. Would like to offer a suggestion. Let’s take all unpleasant and uncomfortable feelings and stuff them in my extra fridge w/Dlvis. Sorta like Pandora’s Box, y’know? Crowbar will guard it so no one will go in there looking for a slice of leftover pizza or anything.

That way, we can go into celebrating July 4th unfettered by stuff. (Our civic ed group is going to have a booth at the city park. We’ll pass out patriotic-themed toys for kids and fans with information concerning the presidential candidates’ positions *and* flyers addressing the tax implications of 0bamacare heh heh heh.)

I feel better already.

Wow, I’m so glad you were careful!!!
You take the high road.
I love saying “I told you so.” It’s a character flaw. We don’t leave the crockpot, the dehumidifier, or anything extra on when we leave the house because I’m afraid of potential electrical fires that will injure/kill our animals if we crack up the car and can’t get back. Fortunately, Mr. Sg is of the same mind.

Pat ate the leftover pizza, but at least he didn’t eat the crickets. I refilled my hummingbird feeders. I probably should have watered the gardens this morning. Too late now ... I’ll do it in the evening.

Wow. I don’t leave pots boiling, either, but earthquakes don’t often cross my mind.

I do need to cook some corn this afternoon, though.

You betcha! Whenever I am tempted to feel sorry for myself, I think of what our dear Monkey Face has to contend with every day just to function. The Velveteen Rabbit is alive and well :-) Thank God His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness is as the dew. Oh, how I need Him just to breathe.

Nothing closes here. It’s a 24 hour town and everyone wants to make a buck. Even Walmart.

It will. I’m a firm believer that when one door closes, another opens. Life is good.

The walk to Walmart was cool this morning, before the sky was even getting light. I always manage to get there when the shelves are bare and stocking is rampant. However, it’s pretty light on customers, and that’s what I like.

On the way home, the bus driver got lost. He was supposed to make a right turn at the 7/11 and he went right past it. He was already late, and had to cross the freeway to turn around, then make a left turn.

He hit the dip at the bottom of the hill just before my stop, and I was already in the aisle, heading for the door. Almost knocked me on my sit-upon!

I seem to be overwatering. One of the watermelons rotted on the vine and one on the same vine got end blossom rot, so it’s likely no watermelons this year (I calciumated the tomato area but didn’t do anywhere else.)
Great to hear that Pat didn’t eat the crickets!
There were some really big black birds in the south yard today. Crows or ravens? Maybe that’s where the strawberries are going. As long as they ingest bugs, too, am willing to share produce. How do you train them to finish one item instead of taking a little bit of many items?
Finally figured out how to make a really good salsa that’s simple (6-7 ingredients unless forgetting something which is probable) so we bought extra sweet onions to make a lot of it and freeze it unless there are too many tomatoes in which case we should stew and can them.
