Eventually, Alaskans will be able to see Southern California from their front porch—and a whole lotta shakin’ is gonna go on til then.

The USGS has registered three earthquakes, one at magnitude-6.9, the other a 6.2.

Reminds me of a song...

You put one foot up.
You put another foot up.
You put another foot up
And you're on board
The drug train.

:-D

For some reason, there’s a lot of poor writing in the two articles on this event posted here on FR...

An earlier article described the location as ‘the Gulf of Mexico’, and this one seems to claim that 3=2....

An earlier article described the location as ‘the Gulf of Mexico’

I'm thinking it was the writer's way of claiming the Gulf of California for Mexico.

Little did they know that Mexico already owned the Gulf of California and there is already a Gulf of Mexico.

Certainly a "young genius", regardless. LOL

LA Times: A magnitude-6.9 earthquake shook Baja California early Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, but no tsunami was expected to strike California or elsewhere.

The earthquake, which occurred at 12:15 a.m., was centered about 360 miles southeast of San Diego, on the western edge of the Gulf of California.

A smaller quake, a magnitude-6.2, shook the same area of Mexico at 12:06 a.m.

The perceived shaking was described as “very strong” close to the epicenter.

It was near Agua de Las Flores and Tiburon Island. The Seri Indians live a very difficult and wretched life in this area. Their ironwood carvings are remarkable. Their homes are essentially brush shelters.

If you really want to see them ALL, in a way you never have, then try this.

http://www.wolton.net/quake.html

Click on link. Download the FREE program (takes only 2 seconds), then run it.

It is awesome, has fantastic ‘controls’, and you can see ‘patterns’ of Earthquakes on a global basis.
