A story by CBS News about Rush Limbaugh's arrest for prescription fraud on March 5, 2009 still appears on the front page of cbsnews.com. Scroll down today's front page on CBS News.com as indicated by several color markers to see the text blurb of an article on Rush Limbaugh's arrest followed by the first few paragraphs of the article, a story that happened over three years ago.
To tell you that I was more than a little annoyed that it turned out to be the original story, dated March 5, 2009, over three years old, would have been an understatement. I was livid, incredibly angry that they would have no qualms about keeping such an obviously partisan news story alive and up front so shamelessly without the slightest consideration of journalistic ethics to speak of. If Dan Rather was still at CBS such lapses of journalistic ethics and fair play would never have been allowed to be compromised.
Forget it, Jake. It’s CBS.
They will never stop. They are utterly biased, this Marxist Media, and they are proud of their bias.
That happened only 3 years ago? That doesn’t sound right.

Never knew was arrested. And the drug issue was more than three years ago.
And you wonder WHY obama had to pander to the mostly-gay Major Media, right now???
In retrospect, you should have known it was the original story. If it were new it would have been at the top of the page in the biggest type that would fit.
Nope, he went to rehab in ‘03. I remember what I was doing when I heard him announce he was heading there and it was in a house I moved out of in ‘03. So yeah. That’s a bunch of hooey.
I didn’t REMEMBER he was arrested either.

This tells me only one thing: The Leftists are utterly desperate...for anything.
This says more about them...and their fears, than it does about us.
And why would you want to give that excuse for journalism a hit on their site? I never go to such sites.
The rehab thing was in 2003 for painkillers which he was subsequently arrested for in 2006 under a “Doctor shopping charge”. At some point later he was detained by customs upon returning from a vacation in the Dominican and a bottle of Viagra with no script was found in his luggage. I don’t recall when that happened, but it was after his 2006 arrest.
The silver lining here is that a three year old article that is still on the front page of a major news organization means nobody really reads the dang thing.
Other news sites do this. When I read a story on my local news web site, it will bring up other headlines. I have clicked on interesting ones, assuming that it is a new story. But, it is simply a sensational story from months or years ago... They’ve got to get you to click on something.....

That’s CBS on Facebook. Not sure how that works but it is probably some leftist keeping the story “bumped to the top” there much as we do here. CBS just picks up whatever is on FB.

Limbaugh turned himself in in 2006.
