"Afghan students learn the centuries-old skills that carved out the giant buddhas blown up by extremists.
... The cave-hall was part of a complex built around two giant buddhas that loomed serenely over Bamiyan for about 15 centuries until the Taliban government condemned them as un-Islamic in early 2001 and blew them up.
"I was interested in this course because I want to restore our culture," said Ismael Wahidi, a 22-year-old student of archeology at Bamiyan University, who set aside more conventional studies for a week to learn how to turn a lump of stone into a sculpture. "If you want to destroy a people, you first destroy their heritage and history."

Smart young man.
Smart, and not long for this world.
Sounds a lot like the current administration’s plan...
I figured out what I want for my birthday.
Better than curling up a tight ball and cowering until you’re killed.
A B-2 Stealth bomber? Do you have a CCW permit for the state you reside in?
No, Mr. Criminal. I'm an unarmed victim ;)
In VA you can't carry (period, concealed or otherwise) throwing stars, rifles with more than 20 rounds in the magazine, nunchukas, or B-2 Stealth Bombers without a CCW permit.
ok ok, so the law doesnt specifically address B-2s.
BTW, I don't necessarily need the B-2......I'll settle for a bomb run over Mecca.
It's payload might be considered a high-capacity magazine though.
Be sure to check with state and local regulations before ordering.
Didn’t most of these places once enjoy higher cultures, before islam?
Iran and the once famous Persion empire?
Egypt, home of the pyramids, early Christianity, etc.?
Iraq, cradle of ancient civilization?
etc.
VA IS an Open Carry state.
I guess they figured if you could afford rifles with magazines +20 rounds, and nunchukas, you could afford the $50 to get the CCW permit [not that I agree with it] and carry pretty much whatever in the hell you want.
VA gun laws are one of the things I LOVE about VA....you can carry open/concealed [with permit] into bars, banks etc(unless otherwise posted by the OWNER; not some manager etc the OWNER). You just can't carry into municipal buildings. You can even carry onto school property so long as you don't get out of the car with the gun.
(so you don't have to worry about going to jail for years on end because you were carrying and stopped to pick your kids up at school)
Isn't the Gun Free Zone for schools a FedMob thing? I assume I break that every time I drive past the school going to town and back but I'm not going to take a long detour around it to do common errands in my own town.
