For more than 40 years the identity of the Zodiac killer has eluded police. Blamed for at least five murders in San Francisco between 1968 and 1969, he taunted detectives and their inability to catch him by sending letters and clues to the local newspaper.
Now a former police officer says he has finally solved the mystery. In a new book Lyndon Lafferty says the killer is a 91-year-old alcoholic man living in northern California. The only catch: Mr Lafferty refuses to name his suspect.
Mr Lafferty claims the killer is now a 91-year-old man living in Solano County but does not identify the alleged killer by name.

LOL! What a scam. I guess it’s a ‘book about nothing’— kind of like a Seinfeld episode.
I wonder how many 91 year old alcoholics live in Solano County?
I know where Amelia Earhart is......but you'll never get it outta me!
If this was real, there would be genuine interest from several law enforcement agencies.
It is suspected the victims gave the killer a ride.

Hey, I’ll tell you where to find Jimmy Hoffa if you’ll clue me in on Amelia. Maybe we could write a book together.
I like the cut of your jib!
Heck I know where Elvis is living with Jimmy Hendrix and Janet Joplin.
I vividly recall the Zodiac Killer. My sister and myself were just kids then (and living far, far from San Francisco) but his threat to kill a school bus full of kids had us scared so badly that my mother had to fabricate a story about him being killed by the police to get us to calm down.
Ha! I’ve got the personal email address and cell phone numbers of The Easter Bunny AND Santa Claus
The author claims that he and other law enforcement officers, ... investigated the suspect in the early 1970s but were frustrated by "power brokers" in Solano County who stymied their efforts and, he alleges, protected the killer.
I loved the modern movie. As long as you dont expect an action movie, its really good.
But just like this story, you still feel a little empty inside that they never found the actual killer. Even though they hinted that they did.
I'm sleeping with the tooth fairy.
Only 636 males 90+ according to Census 2010.
I think they had the guy in custody once but didn’t connect the dots. And I believe that guy died.
I have 0bama’s original birth certificate, signed by the doctor, his college transcripts, and his Selective Service registration card.
I win. :)

Sounds like one of the many cold fusion, solar cell, cancer, diabetes breakthrough announcements.
Wow! That is a lot of old duffers.
