Mary Richardson Kennedy nearly missed her own wake Friday after a legal battle erupted over her body.
On one side was her estranged husband, Bobby Kennedy Jr., who was in the midst of divorcing her when she hanged herself in a barn. He claimed the right to decide where she would rest in peace.
On the other side were Mary’s brothers and sisters, who didn’t want her to be buried beside members of the Kennedy clan in Hyannisport — and filed suit to stop that from happening.

One can also only speculate how much her family dislikes RFK, Jr., and just how he treated her given their wishes she not be buried at Hyannisport.
The weirdest statement about this tragedy is in a picture to the right of this story where the priest who is to conduct the funeral states that Kennedy was "disappointed" by her suicide. Disappointed? I sure certainly hope so, at least that.
I would like it if the Kennedys would just go away. They have been nothing but losers ever since bootlegger Joe started the inbred clan.
Oh, what an ugly, ugly, ugly mess, but I doubt that any of them will learn anything from it.

Just as a semi-random thought: I read a lot of fiction and it never ceases to amaze me that any time a story involves a rich, mega-dysfunctional family, you can almost bet on it mirroring the antics of the Kennedy clan. I’ve seen it in everuthing from Horror to sci-fi to fantasy. The political/dramas go without saying.
What a legacy that is...
I have had to tell that story about Joe Bootlegging to so many people. THAT is how the sleezy, “You can have many women” Kennedys made their fortune. IIRC, the English blew the whistle on old Joe when he was an ambassador there, but alas, he made millions.
The whole bunch can be summed up by “don’t you know who I am?”
YUK - even in death the Kennedy clan is arrogant. What makes them think she would want to be anywhere NEAR that sleezy bunch of people that drove her to take her own life. Prayers for her and her family.

I was thinking her hanging herself was a pretty good indicator of how she was treated. For whatever reason she felt it was the only way to escape. And now the Kennedy’s won’t let her, even in death.
I wonder what was out in the out-building that was so important to her? Perhaps a horse or something? Seems sort of an out-of-the-way place to do it. I wonder how much money she would have gotten in the divorce if she had lived?
All folks in the Kennedy line should be neutered, women and men alike, Just like Hitlers’ nephews who were born in the U.S. who have been great citizens. But that was a choice they made themselves. They were not forced to do so. They did not want another Hitler to appear in the future because of them.
