Patriot's Handbook: A Practical Guide to Restoring Liberty

America is a country in crisis. From financial meltdown to economic hardship; from a growing list of hostile foes to grave doubts among our allies; from failures in schools and fractured families to federal government intrusion into virtually every aspect of life, our country faces a profound, multi-dimensional crisis that threatens to destroy our livelihoods, our form of government and our very way of life. It casts a bleak shadow on the future for our children, their children and all future generations.

The events of the Obama administration’s first two years have brought this crisis into sharp focus. Never in recent memory have any President and Congress attempted to move so far, so fast to radically transform our country. They have sought to impose vast new regulatory regimes against our will, and engaged in a budget busting spending spree – robbing a flagging economy of much-needed resources and raising the specter of rampant inflation. And while threatening economic stability at home, the administration pursues a foreign policy of indulging our enemies and undermining national defense.

But this radical leftist administration and Democrat-controlled Congress are only a symptom of a larger systemic problem. The radical Left represents an indescribably destructive system of thinking and philosophy of government that has gradually been “mainstreamed” over the past century. It infests our grade schools and college campuses. It pervades the thinking of most among our media elite, the political class and even the church.

America has become detached and largely ignorant of the core principles that made this country great. It is critical to our long-term survival that we rediscover and embrace again the key concepts of individual freedom, individual responsibility, limited government and the rule of law.

The only way we are going to restore liberty is by something big happening in a short amount of time. We aren't going to gradually do anything to get back our liberty. I have heard a lot of Conservatives say we must wait to change one thing at a time, but that has been shown to be impossible. We have steadily moved to the left while losing our freedoms for years under everyone of our Presidents. It can't be changed without something bigger happening, and maybe Obama’s much more blatant unconstitutional leadership will awaken enough people.

The people and the States must cause conflict with the federal government in refusing to obey obvious unconstitutional mandates coming from the out of control federal government. These States must be willing to risk everything to back their freedom. They should refuse to acknowledge the federal governments unconstitutional powers without going through ridiculous court battles that are obviously unnecessary. Then they should stop collecting federal taxes when threatened with funds being withheld. Once they have started they shouldn't back down for anything, including the threat of being occupied by federal forces. I don't think it would ever get to that level because it's just not the same time as our first civil war, and the federal government isn't going to have the support or will to escalate something like this. But a state must be willing to say it will oppose any federal forces with force. They would need to make clear to everyone in government, and the federal forces that would be responsible for occupying a state, that if they take it that far it will result in bloodshed.

I doubt it would come to that, but without letting it be known that you can't be controlled without paying a toll, one that many are not willing to pay, they will walk all over any state that confronts it. We are so far gone we have to take some chances, or accept living under tyranny because that's what we have been living under for a long time, and we haven't changed anything whatsoever with our plans of slowly turning things around.

G-d, family and country, in that order, I say. Our nation began as a nation of Puritans, Sephardim (see George Washington's letters to them), Huguenots and the like (less than 1% other at the time of our Constitution).

Let's see how far the correction goes--Greco-Roman secular legalisms or farther and better.

I think it may come to that. The states more and more refusing to obey unconstitutional federal mandates, regulations, Obamacare, executive orders, EPA, TSA, you name it. They must and we must back them. The alternative is continued tyranny, further loss of freedom and debasement of our culture. Rebellion is brewing!

This is not our fathers' America. Today, people are too lackadaisical and PC to step up for more than 5 minutes. Look at 9/11. Outrage for two weeks and now we have a muzzy in the WH, footbaths in Walmart and a mosque on Ground Zero.

Let's hope people are awake and step up to do all they can to get Obama out of the WH on November 6th. I can't even think about the direction of the country if he gets reelected. With all the data on Obama and his associates, I just don't see why people aren't 'getting it.'
