Organizers of Tony Robbins' motivational events said they are working with authorities to improve safety after 21 people were hurt while walking over hot coals.

San Jose firefighters treated participants for second- and third-degree burns after they walked across hot coals that were more than 1,000 degrees. Officials said the participants were recovering and that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
The event was held Thursday.

I hope they get something out of the deal besides blisters on their feet.
Takes more than a patented attitude adjustment to carry off this circuis trick. Usually it’s part well calloused feet, and part coals that have burned down to the point that they are well covered with insulating ash.

I’d never walk on coals
A rational person might think that after seeing the first
or at most the second person to attempt this feat of
mediocrity and fail the rest would reconsider the wisdom
of joining in.....but NOOOOOO. Stupid is not only rampant
it appears to be contagious.
I get the impression that they hired up a new crew to do the burning coal trick, and the boys actually thought they knew what they were doing.
If you are in need of that much confidence...you’ve got bigger issues, and ought to start with painting your garage in 95-degree heat, or digging up a septic tank.
It's all subjectively in their mind(s) anyway.
Note the cult leader himself never risks such foolish acts himself but gets others to do it?
It has always been that way with charlatans and phony-types, religious or New Age, whatever.
Now THAT would be quite a video indeed. I am sure they are erasing over and over and over again Rose Mary Woods-style and are fully lawyered up by now. What a fiasco. Wonder how many of the injured were Democrats/Obama-types?

I’ve heard the secret is being nervous and sweating. The sweat on the bottom of your feet protects you. If you’re not nervous you get burned.
