Not to get off the subject which I like, how do you preserve hard corn. I just got a few hundred pounds and I want to extend the shelf life.

Couldn't find those DAK hams at our local CVS. They said they weren't on sale.
I think they are the best of the small canned hams.
We picked up some of those canned hams on sale 2 for $5 a couple of weeks ago at Walgreens. Its a great deal.

107 here today and coil on my trucks AC compressor went out while crossing the panhandle from NM to Okie Texas border. Hot hot hot....
Just finished replacing it in my wonderful air conditioned shop. Yeah I know who keeps a spare engine and associated parts around. A proper prepper does. Bought 2 wrecked 06 cummins trucks from my insurance lady a few,years ago. Paid off well today. Took me longer to find my AC gauges and refill it than replacing the compressor.

This is where this female departs - I’m not making that thing. I’d probably cut off my arm making that. I have an outdoor fireplace to use either wood or charcoal or fake logs and has a rack for cooking food. The wood or charcoal or fake logs goes in a drawer. I will also burn trash in that fireplace.
You guys are just stronger and more capable with tools that cut and you can lift things I can’t. I wish I was strong like you. Since I’m not, I have to use my brain to accomplish something similar but in a way I can do it.
But, you know what? I was a winning runner and hurdle jumper in college so I bet I could outrun you now.
Kart.... I gathered the materials for a 50 BMG ammo can stove. I'll assemble it in the early AM when it's only 90F outside. You pushed me into doing this, I'll have you know.

If it's regular dent corn, I mix diatomatious earth with it to keep the bugs out. It should last 25 years if you keep it dry.
