After my grandparents passed away, I've inherited thousands of old family slides and have been sorting through them and have been getting them converted to digital format.
Many of the pictures, of course include those of my mother, and her younger sister (my aunt) "Liz".
Aunt Liz is a prime and proper wealthy liberal elitist in her mid sixties and belongs to the well connected limousine liberal circles. One of her daughters joined the green peace and another became an environmental lawyer.
In conversation, she is not shy to voice her opposition to what she considers "hateful homophobia" or racism by republicans. I guess just try to picture Hilary Clinton.
Well...while going through these old photos, I came across a picture of my aunt at a Halloween party during her college years. I could NOT believe my eyes. My politically correct aunt Liz's face was painted black with exaggerated features. She was dressed up as an African American (or negro in those days I guess)with a great big grin on her face!
She and her one daughters are often posting nasty things about conservatives on FaceBook. It's very tempting to post her picture and tag her, although I guess I'd might get unfriended.
Do it and then copy the link location and post it here!

^^^THIS!!!^^^
Why would you get "unfriended"?
Although I have never painted my face for any reason, I would greatly appreciate a blast from my past!
But then again I'm a hard core VRW conservative and proud of my past!
I’d just make a copy of it and send it to her on a Christmas card with something snappy on it like .....
“God loves you even If you think your perfect”
I found a photo of a family member in the Vatican during WWII. Pretty sure it was in a room where he did not belong.
No stones....unless ya go for it.
What possible good could come of it?
My liberal relatives have recently discovered that our great grandfather was Jewish. LOL
You would guess right. Note, though, that it's spelled with a capital N: "Negro."
If you ain’t in the will, go for it!
I wouldn’t post it without first contacting her and explaining to her why you want to post it i.e. to show what a hypocrite she is. Just make sure you do not have any hypocrisy yourself.
You would guess right. Note, though, that it's spelled with a capital N: "Negro."
First I would buy a website..reflecting her name like
www .AuntJanedoe.com
Upload the photo as background.
Then post the picture with a link to the website on her favorite social media.
Send me a link.
Interesting thread. I can offer no significant suggestion that is worthy of repeating. Why step on toes of relatives unless they have purposely stepped on yours, even if they hold no carrot of possible inheritance?
I don’t look at people through the lens of politics, but instead their character. Character is about .....well clueless people don’t have a clue about character and politicians generally don’t have any character. They have ambition and the desire to use others for their own advancement and that of their cronies.
Go for the gold....Blackmail!
If you post it, you can always play the dumb card.
“What? What’s the matter? Oh, come on! This was years ago, no one knows it is you. What? Oh, come ON! Everyone who knows you knows you aren’t a racist...”
And then tag in all her dem friends.
This doesn't mean that you can't email it to all the family and friends via regular email with a "look at this vintage picture of Aunt ____!"
Imagine how shocked I was when my Father took me to my GGGGF grave and he was a Yankee veteran of the Civil War headstone. Yea, my ancestor was a slave owning Yankee cavalryman from Tennessee that fought the CW wearing a blue coat. History has a way of bending our preconceived notions of what should be.
Post it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Send your Aunt the URL to this thread along with a note about how difficult it is to make ends meet these days, I’ll bet you’ll have a very bountiful Christmas this year, lol
