After my grandparents passed away, I've inherited thousands of old family slides and have been sorting through them and have been getting them converted to digital format.
Many of the pictures, of course include those of my mother, and her younger sister (my aunt) "Liz".
Aunt Liz is a prime and proper wealthy liberal elitist in her mid sixties and belongs to the well connected limousine liberal circles. One of her daughters joined the green peace and another became an environmental lawyer.
In conversation, she is not shy to voice her opposition to what she considers "hateful homophobia" or racism by republicans. I guess just try to picture Hilary Clinton.
Well...while going through these old photos, I came across a picture of my aunt at a Halloween party during her college years. I could NOT believe my eyes. My politically correct aunt Liz's face was painted black with exaggerated features. She was dressed up as an African American (or negro in those days I guess)with a great big grin on her face!
She and her one daughters are often posting nasty things about conservatives on FaceBook. It's very tempting to post her picture and tag her, although I guess I'd might get unfriended.
Well at least post it here. We don’t know her from shinola and never will.
What were you doing in the Vatican during WWII?
Thanks MNDude. DO IT! You can’t pick your relatives, nor can you pick those who friend you on FB — but you should show them the error of their ways.
You an’ me must be kin. Them fellers is my second cousins.
I’d post it in a heart beat...it is so easy to disclose their agenda skewed hypocrisy.
“If somewhere down deep you didnt know it was the wrong thing to do you would have just done it, and not asked for a second opinion.”
BINGO!
Let her know you found it but don’t post it.
Show some class.
One thing I’ve learned, painfully, is that there’s a huge difference between family and relatives. The two circles do not always overlap, in fact many of the people I consider “family” are not relatives. Family you protect, but mere relatives are fair game if they transgress. I’d nail her sanctimonious ass to the wall if I were the OP.
Might want to show them this old 1860 political cartoon.
Matthew 6:13 “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
Don’t do it. Don’t share it with the whole world that would be wrong and could be contrived as hurtful and you would be considered an awful person. Instead, scan it and send it in a personal email to your aunt with a simple note something to the effect of “I can’t believe this is you. What were you thinking?” If anything, her reaction will be interesting. If she asks for the photo let her think it was accidentally tossed out, keep it as proof that a book can’t be judged by it’s cover or can it?
We called them blacks.
Lyndon Johnson called them “Nigras”
It was a picture of a family memeber, not me. I have absolutely no idea what they were doing there. For all I know they were on R&R. My relative was a surgeon in the military. Some of the photos show coils of razor wire strewn across Vatican square. Really interesting.
Abraham Lincoln, speaking of the “black man”.
“I want every man to have the chance - and I believe a black man is entitled to it - in which he can better his condition, when he may look forward and hope to be a hired labourer this year and the next, work for himself afterward, and finally to hire men to work for him. That is the true system.”
Save it until she runs for/endorses a candidate in public office.
DON’T SH!T IN YOUR OWN YARD....or on a table you may have/get to dine at.......
The ladies' room???
You can take back the internet. Posting it has repercussions.
Blackmail is a crime.
You can express serious concern about her hateful screeds against Republicans, especially with her own questionable skeletons in her closet. Perhaps she should reconsider her attacks and sweeping generalizations.
I’ve heard more racists jokes from liberals than ever from conservatives.
Liberal moonbat and founding Yippie Paul Krassner one felt like a sh!theel for openly telling racist jokes with his friends at a party with fellow libs (most were doing it), but one black man in their presence was unaccustomed to their “play”. He swears he didn’t mean anything by it. But he still was perpetuating stereotypes and using the language of hate.
Add "and then posting it" and we have a winner!
