The closer America gets to Election Day, the more some worry about the possibility of there not being one.
Obama is smiling all the way through the polls, and it may not merely be whistling past the cemetery this time.
The fear of Obama suspending elections came long before the presidential election campaign officially began. It was almost one year ago when North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue made suspended elections an idea whose time has come.
I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we wont hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover, Gov. Perdue, a Democrat said, according to a report by the Raleigh News & Observer. You want people who dont worry about the next election. (Fox News, Sept. 27, 2011).
The trial balloon for Obamas suspension of elections had been sent up overnight.
When public outrage followed Perdues suggestion, her staff quickly issued a statement suggesting she wasnt really calling for suspension of elections.
Governor Perdue was obviously using hyperbole to highlight what we can all agree is a serious problem: Washington politicians who focus on their own election instead of whats best for the people they serve, a spokesman said.
Canada Free Press (CFP) believes that Perdue, who is suiting herself and not running for re-election this time out, was the first person to give oxygen to the idea of Obama suspending elections.
You do not have to be in the Conspiracy Camp to worry that something is amiss in this Election. It is not as the media is presenting it, just an election like any other with the Repubs and Dems dragging out skeletons and leaving them for all to see out on the campaign trail.

The Kenyan can only suspend the elections if the Congress, the Courts, and the rest of the nation allow him to. Unfortunately the Congress, the courts, and the rest of the nation have already granted him dictatorial powers by not questioning his right to rule by decree. There are complaints about the content of his EO/Edicts but not a peep from anyone about his right to issue and enforce them. This does not bode well, even if the kenyan chooses to accept a loss and steps down in November. That right of decreeexists and will still exist and WILL BE USED by whoever is the President because there was/is NO opposition before the completion of the term of the one who institutionalized it. On the other hand if the kenyan simply stays in office by Executive Order, I think there will be a huge outcry that he has done that but there will still be acceptance of it as a fait accompli. That is the truly dangerous situation in the country. There is no danger of the president becoming a Dictator. He already is. He has total power through the Congressionally sanctioned- because not congressionally denied- Executive Orders. And if there is a next president he will be effectively a dictator also for the same reason. We have already given up representative government.
Elections still took place during the Civil War.
What would happen if some cities weren’t allowed to hold the elections because of turmoil? Some people won’t get to vote and some won’t be counted. Would obama not scream EQUAL CLAUSE!
But we really don’t have to worry about it. If this happens the republicans will definitely pitch a bitch.
You believe that the president couldn’t by decree stop the elections til 2013? All it takes is one large terrorist act, or “crisis” and he would evoke war powers act. I bet Mitt would agree with him!—at first. The postponed election would be pushed to 2016 then—never and we would have President Obama for life—and a People’s Republic with one Party—the Democrat party. Others would be deemed “Hate Parties” and banned. The states would cease to be important—like the congress. On that day—we raise the Bonnie Blue Flag!
Of course he couldn't.
You'd have to convince FIFTY states to comply.
Rotsa Ruck in the red states.

I think if you do an analysis, you'll see the SoS project backfired bigtime and there are actually more Republican SoS now than there were before ole Nazi George started.
I’m glad I’m wrong!
Electing Romney(assuming an election) won't make any difference in the long run. Congress and the nation have not just granted those powers to a man, but the the Presidency. The president will exercise them. Once a second president has these rights they are in concrete and will not go away again.
But not this.
