Unforgiven.

“Its a hell of a thing, ain’t it, killing a man. You take away everything he’s got...and everything he’s ever gonna have...”

The Outlaw Josey Wales is about as good as they get.

As I have said so many times, God doesn't play dice with the world.

I think Unforgiven is possibly the best western ever made but the epilogue was what got me:

Some years later, Mrs. Ansonia Feathers made the arduous journey to Hodgeman County, Kansas to visit the last resting place of her only daughter. William Munny had long since disappeared with the children... some said to San Francisco where it was rumored he prospered in dry goods. And there was nothing on the marker to explain to Mrs. Feathers why her only daughter had married a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition.

That is a bizarre question.

I will say however, that Eastwood's repulsive, anti-life paean to euthanasia, Million Dollar Baby, should be eliminated from the running.

Eastwood is a social liberal, fiscal conservative —LIBERTARIAN!

His movie ‘Million Dollar Baby’ was an advocate film for assisted suicide. He believes in the Culture of Death. He believes in factors of convenience and secularist concerns for humanity on both ends of the life spectrum: from pro-abortion to assisted-suicide for the sick and elderly. He is also pro-gay marriage. All the things that are really not pro-family.

But he’s a really sensible fiscal conservative!

In being Christian be careful who you worship and look up to in Hollywood.

If He does, George Lucas is going to have a lot of explaining to do.

I agree, definitely UNFORGIVEN.
By the title alone, it would have to be.
To my mind, one of the very best American movies of the past
20 years, maybe THE best. But if it was possible to consult God, we might
find out it’s DIRTY HARRY.

I like “Dirty Harry” best — the first in the series.

BTW, wasn’t “The Beguiled” absolutely freaky?
