Opinions Wanted On "Lean Obama Polling" In Pennsylvania. Are They Also Skewed By 7 Points?

Posted on 09/11/2012 6:51:46 PM PDT by Ryan_Rubio_2016

You have to keep in mind the 2010 Midterms. We also have been hearing lately that Obama could lose Pennsylvania, mainly because of voter ID requirements. For those of you who live in Pennsylvania,or have the real internal polling,is there any good news there in favor of Mitt Romney? Considering Pennsylvania went red in 2010,there is no way Obama will win (in an honest election)by the "Alleged 7 Point Lead". Lets hear the real facts from Freepers in Pennsylvania.

I'm not much of a writer these days, but will repost something I opined with over this past weekend.

I'm real close to geographic dead center in the state.
Have a small woodcrafting business that Ø's economic blitzkrieg has just about destroyed .. and am right on the edge of being too old to be hired by anyone for anything else.

Anyway, here's my take/hope on PA's chances in November:

For your consideration, here are four reasons that, acting in concert, will cause Pennsylvania to go R this election, imho:

1) Our new Voter ID law IS going to have an impact. No one with any sense assumes it will completely stop the fraud/theft, but barring wholesale (criminal) non-compliance at the polls, it should negate several tens of thousands of bogus ballots.

2) PA's nascent energy boom, having brought much good employment/wages to rural areas that previously offered few opportunities, and with more hiring to follow, is under threat of attack by the marxist watermelons in particular, and Ø's anti-business regime generally. Folks who've finally found some work that pays worth a damn, knowing the Dhimms will try to take it away from them, should be turning out in droves with their votes to see that that doesn't happen.

3) Gas prices are once again within spitting distance of $4/gal as a result of Ø's deliberate Luddite attack on our energy industries. Not only are peoples' wallets being raped when filling their vehicles, the winter heating season will soon be ushering in concomitantly absurd bills for heating oil and electrity. Coupled with grocery prices spiraling ever upward as a result of artificially usurious energy costs, folks bringing in less than $100k/yr are being slowly strangled, while those trying to make do with less are effectively being written off. Political maxim #1 = it's the ECONOMY !

4) Though things have yet to reach quite the levels of anarchy currently present in Chicago, American citizens in PA's urban areas are doubtless feeling the fear and outrage caused by Ø's tacitly condoning the untouchable entitlement attitudes and general lawlessness of feral urban barbarians, overwhelmingly of the black variety. In the part of their minds that hold those things that are thought about as rarely as possible, most rational people know that there's very likely a big storm coming, and that there's no way the cops will be able to deal with it. They also know that, while things weren't rosy, the situation four years ago seemed much less dire. Average moms and dads don't like to be made to think those thoughts and feel those fears in a state that used to be a reasonably safe place to raise their kids. And in that same seldom-visited mind corner lurks the dark realization that, given the enormous disparity in numbers between city cops and bangers, if widespread urban violence/rioting breaks out following this election, it will almost necessarily have to be met with massive and deadly citizen resistance - which means THEM - if their families and property are to be protected.

Given all the above, and with a moderate PR drive by the R/R team to crystallize what's at stake, Pennsylvania should deliver 20 EVs to the saner side of the equation this year.

Finally.

I live in Bucks County. What surprises me the most is how completely vacant PA voters are. The majority that I work with etc. don’t have a remote clue what the issues are.

This is why I keep hammering on getting the details of Obamacare out there. I think it could make the difference.

I am from South Central Pa. Juan McCain won in this area in 2008, but Obama received too many of formerly conservative votes. Zero won't get those votes again, at least not here. The real battle in PA will fought in suburban Philadelphia. A couple percentage shift there, plus a return to generally Republican voting in most of the state, like in 2010, and a weak turnout from the hood in Philly then Zero is toast.

Bucks County here.

Why Romney should win in PA:

Voter ID
Green Party ON the ballot
Constitution Party NOT on the ballot
Republicans SWEPT in 2010 - why can’t they do it again?
Old dem bosses in Philadelphia are in jail or out of office
No fire in the belly ANYWHERE for obama
“Walking Around” not here anymore
Republican are fired up (not like in 2008)

Hi neighbor, Excellent comments. The problem is the Southeast (Philly) and the Southwest(Pittsburgh). If we could get rid of them we would have a pretty good state!

I am (often) in PA.

I think El Rushbo is correct. PA is a pipe dream.

Voter ID will not, in my opinion, change the vote manufacturing process in Philadelphia. I have heard that at the end of each day, those in charge of the precincts will pretend to be each voter who has not voted and vote for them. If they do this, wouldn’t they also just say they verified the voter ID? I think yes.

Now, just an observation. I am most often in Central PA - the conservative part.

I have seen no RINOmney bumper stickers at all. I’ve seen two RINOmney yard signs.
I have seen many Zero bumper stickers and signs.

Perhaps no one likes RINOmney enough to do the stickers or signs, but will vote for him?

Even in the second Bush election - at the low point of his approval - and in the McCain race, there was plenty of public support in the form of yard signs and bumper stickers.

Maybe this all means nothing, but I consider Rush correct on this one.

PA has a "shall issue" concealed weapons permit law. Go get one. It is pretty painless.

PA has great gun laws. Legal to own just about anything. And legal to shoot a criminal. Legal to defend your home. Legal to defend yourself. Legal to dfend your family. Easy to get a CCW.

And PS - guess which state has the MOST NRA members? Yes - PA.

If that schmuck gets reelected us ladies are going be wearing burkas before too long if we are not dead because we beleive in God.

http://www.centredaily.com/ is the newspaper for Centre County PA, home of Penn State University and their ultra-liberal faculty and administration, the late Joe Paterno, Jerry Sandusky temporarily housed in isolation in the county jail, and a population that overwhelmingly voted for Obama in 2008. All day Tuesday a reader poll asked:

If the presidential election were held today, which candidate would get your vote?

47% Barack Obama

53% Mitt Romney

As of 11 PM in the East Tuesday night.

As a PSU alum, I'm familiar with Centre Cty being an outlier in a sea of midstate R.

To see those numbers, especially coming from the CDT, is good news .. thanks for your post !

In combination with the other factors in play this year, if the ID setup would stop only 25% of the fraud present in '08, it might just be enough to get the job done.

PA is fools gold to the GOP. It always looks like a state the GOP can pick up and then goes blue. I will never go red in a Presidential election again. It’s not deep blue, but still blue enough. Don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of good Christian, conservative folks in PA. But they always get canceled out by 80% plus RAT votes in Philadelphia and 55% plus RAT vote in Pittsburgh .

GWB came within 2.5% in 2004 and that is about the best we can do there . Daddy Bush won PA in 1988 by a narrow margin and that was the last time.

more...?..."I'll bankrupt the coal companies" seems to have had a strong anti-Obama effect in places like West Virginia, now that the populace has finally awakened - not sure how much coal is still actually mined up around the Scranton-Tamaqua area (from where my father and many relatives came), but Obama's arrogance in writing off an entire industry might have some effect thereabouts.....
