I have noticed the distinct lack of campaign signs (vanity)

I have noticed that there is a SEVERE lack of "Presidential" campaign signs in my area. NOTHING like it was in 2008. I mean......I don't even see bumper stickers of support for either candidate.

When I drive through the Black neighborhoods to picks up my kids.....nothing. No Obama signs.

Other parts of town......nothing.

Not even bumper stickers.

I think people are TRULY afraid. This is TRULY CREEPY!

There is a great family around the corner, bless their hearts, who have a sign that says "Vote Like Your Freedoms Depend On It". And I smile every time I pass it.......but NOTHING else.

I think people are afraid. Afraid to voice their opinion because of retaliation.

I NEVER thought we would become a country like this. But, here we are.

What state are you in? I think most of the effort will be placed in the swing states. I don’t think you will see very much in NY or CA.

Or MD, where I'm at. We're not considered to be "in play" by the MSM and the bogus drink-their-own-bathwater polls they worship. Prolly so, but we'll see...

I’m in Rochester MN (pop. 106,000) and there are THOUSANDS of people on the wait list for signs at our GOP HQ!!! The Romney campaign has been AWOL on this one. If he has all this $$ he needs to distribute signs!!

I get letters from “him” all the time begging for money.

And some real slick LARGE color pictures of him with expensive color brochures.

He seems to have money for that.

He is aggressively asking for more $'s from supporters. (and me too...)

Maybe there are a lack of signs because he is supposed to usher in the next 4 yrs of Obama, like McCain did the first 4.

I'm in Connecticut, but we often travel throughout New England, and down the eastern seaboard to Washington DC.

So far I've seen many "Obama 2012" and Elizabeth "The Fake Indian" Warren bumper stickers on Massachusetts cars, particularly in the Boston area. I have seen those "Obama 2012" and Obama-Biden stickers on cars from other states as well, unfortunately.

I've seen maybe two Romney bumper stickers so far, one was on an Ohio car traveling in Maine on Labor Day weekend.

I've seen NO presidential lawn signs anywhere so far. I do find it strange... we're already into September. I'm assuming (?) that more lawn signs will pop up as we get closer to the election...

Remember all the pro-Obama bumper stickers and signs you saw in 2008? Well, when you are out tomorrow notice how few of them are around this election cycle.

You know, you are right. Even though I've seen plenty of those loathsome "Obama 2012" stickers, they've mostly been on cars in the Boston area (I live in northern Connecticut), and I've seen FAR fewer Obama stickers overall on cars now than in 2008.

I hope that's a good sign...

The 45 million Americans on food stamps might not be happy with Romney voters.

Hmmm... you may have a point there. ;-)

young 20-something dyke looking woman driving a hybrid with a Coexist sticker too.

Ugh, I've seen so many of those in the Boston, MA area! Except they're anywhere from 20-75 year old dykes, and they have the Obama 2012, Coexist AND Elizabeth Warren stickers on their hybrids... or Subarus.

I have seen a lot of local election signs, but none of them indicate the candidate’s party. What is up with that?

Up here in the liberal northeast most local candidates proudly announce "Democrat for Congress" or whatever. Republicans never identify their party.

My husband and I just happened to be in South Carolina during their May 2010 primaries. We thought we had died and gone to Heaven: Candidates' signs (and TV and radio ads) were all trying to "out-conservative" each other. Candidates proudly called themselves Conservative and/or Republican. In the TV and radio ads, many of these candidates actually spoke about "God" and/or "church".

Being from The People's Republik of Connecticut, we were absolutely stunned.

In my area its about normal. I’ve not been around enough to compare to 2008 but I’ve noticed more Romney signs in yards than Obama but then again I live in a very Republican area. The same goes with Bumper stickers. This is the time things start to heat up so you should see more of them. I’ve been volunteering for the local GOP and we ran out of several hundred signs easily at the county fair. Also a big difference this year is an upsurge in volunteers. I was often the one of few volunteering in my area while Obama had troops on the ground like I’ve never seen before. This year I don’t see much OFA presence. Obama isn’t very popular in most of Virginia outside of the NVA. I’ll let you know the mode come election day. If we have welfare Mom’s and guys who fit the “thug/player” stereotype lined up at 6:00 am in the morning in the rain like we did in 2008 it wont be good in VA. I don’t see any of the indicators that is going to happen this year.

The question this year is more whether Romney/Ryan can not only take advantage of less enthused Obama voters but get their own voters to the polls. That said my feel at this point is that Romney will win Virgnia by a good margin. McCain lost Virginia primarily because he didn’t have the money to really compete with Obama and that also happenned in NC. This year that is not the case. I don’t really think Romney or the National GOP are really running a very good race but Obama is in a very bad place and the polls that are worst for Romney assume Obama can not only reproduce 2008 but go one better. The Democrats do not have the advantage any more this year than in 2010 given registerations etc. The number of Democrats has fallen considerably.

The only worry I have is Romney being a weak candidate.

I particularly noticed in Maine that most cars still have Obama 2008 stickers on them, but I haven’t seen ANY Obama 2012 stickers

I've unfortunately seen MANY of those Obama 2012 bumper stickers, in Maine and elsewhere. But they've mostly been on Massachusetts cars.

I've also seen several Obama 2012 and Elizabeth "The Fake Indian" Warren stickers on cars in the Boston area...

Overall, though, the "many" Obama stickers I've seen so far this time around vastly pales in comparison to the "tons" of O-stickers I saw in 2008...

The most likely answer is a tad bit of hyperbole. No?
Show us a couple of known liberals who have announced
their support for Romney so I can stay home on election
day to help re-elect Obama.

Here on the west side of Cincinnati I see plenty of Romney signs in yards along with Congressman Chabot and Josh Mandel for Senator yard signs. I have seen one Odogeater yard sign but have passed a number of houses that are sporting local democrat pols signs but no Odogeater signs. I see some occasional bumper stickers and the drivers are inevitably ugly women or black people.

I think Romney is going to win easily, ignore the polls. I talk to anybody I can and make the pitch to get rid of the dog eater. I begin with the DNC denying God three times and its easy from there.

Romney gets over 300 electorals. He certainly wasnt my guy (Newt!) but considering the alternative, I am all in for Mittens but will petition Chabot, Mandel and Portman to hold Mitts feet to the fire and keep him in a conservative direction.

Reporting from the deep-blue (East) SF Bay Area:

Most cars, believe it or not, have bare bumpers.

I see the occasional BO 2012 sticker, a few BO 2008 stickers, a few BO/Biden stickers, but they are few and far between. Most of the BO 2012 stickers are seen on cars driven by women, and usually the car is a Prius. I almost got run down in a crosswalk by a woman driving a car with both BO 2008 and “Stop Prop 8” stickers.

I have seen a couple of cars that have evidence of a BO sticker which has recently been rubbed or scraped off.

The cars that once sported BO stickers still proudly bear other leftist stickers (e.g “Go Vegan” or “Coexist” or “Stop Prop 8” or similar. Some still have “Jerry Brown for Governor” or “Kerry Edwards.” I even saw a “Wellstone!” sticker on a car in Berkeley.

No BO yard signs. Only saw one BO 2012 window sign and that was around downtown/West Oakland.

No Romney or Romney/Ryan bumper stickers or yard signs (yet).

All of the above was in Alameda County.

Going east, in Contra Costa County (Walnut Creek): even fewer leftist stickers, BO stickers very rare, no Romney or Romney/Ryan stickers, no yard or window signs for either party.

E. Texas also...local signs, very few O/B or R/R signs yet! I ‘heard’ the Dems have written Texas off! Hope we don’t have to see a lot of TV ads, either! The phone rings all day long...marketers/political calls. I rarely answer it.

I don't see any in my neighborhood. I would love a Romney sign but I am not paying for it. We do have one libtard who had an Odingo sign in 2008 on his lawn but I have yet to see it for this election. hehehhe

I, too, have asked our local reps for signs - they politely take down my info and then I never hear from them.
