A Texas schoolgirl is nursing a bruised and 'blistered' behind after she was spanked by her male vice principal. Springtown High School sophomore Taylor Santos was walloped by the teacher after allegedly letting another student copy her work. But her mother, Anna Jorgensen, has complained to the school, furious that they allowed her daughter to be brutally paddled by a man.
>snip<
The day after her daughter's spanking, Jorgensen called the vice principal to complain but he defended his actions. 'He told me this was normal for her bottom to look like this after receiving swats, and that he was not aware of the school policy that females swat females,' she said. 'He used too much force.'

Do you know for a fact that he didn't touch her as he was administering those whacks???
Get over it.
This just smells of impropriety.
Do you know for a fact that the principle examined her cheeks to determine redness?

"He told me this was normal for her bottom to look like this after receiving swats".
How many 16 year old female butts has he swatted and looked at to know what "normal" appearance is???
The parents of the school district should find out.
I certainly know that redness (and tenderness) is normal, regardless of gender or age, having received my own (well deserved) swats.

No doubt the adult male high school employee thinks the same thing, but probably prefers them to be 15 and older.
I guess instead him requesting the young lady bend over for her spanking, he could have assigned her after school clean up, extra home work, cafeteria duty etc...
Of course, common sense in today's public government schools, are no where to be seen.

Texas Education Code, CHAPTER 37. DISCIPLINE; LAW AND ORDER

(1) physical pain caused by reasonable physical activities associated with athletic training, competition, or physical education; or
(2) the use of restraint as authorized under Section 37.0021.
(b) If the board of trustees of an independent school district adopts a policy under Section 37.001(a)(8) under which corporal punishment is permitted as a method of student discipline, a district educator may use corporal punishment to discipline a student unless the student's parent or guardian or other person having lawful control over the student has previously provided a written, signed statement prohibiting the use of corporal punishment as a method of student discipline.
(c) To prohibit the use of corporal punishment as a method of student discipline, each school year a student's parent or guardian or other person having lawful control over the student must provide a separate written, signed statement to the board of trustees of the school district in the manner established by the board.

Are you telling me that paddling was the only alternative???
So anyway instead of him doing the honorable thing and going easy on her, he gives her welts and blisters and tells her its normal.

In my short time at FR I've respected and looked forward to each and every one of your posts, and that trail ended here, for today.
Whatever her degree of damage, and whether or not it was deserved, she was the underage girl handled in a less than appropriate manner by a stranger with questionable motivations, and in a manner in which her parents did not approve. You may feel that her victimization by a stronger, older man is a technicality, but still, she is the victim to whatever degree.
Maligning a little girl, of whom you know nothing, is not a revelation of the nobler side of your good character. Your remark is not one you would have voiced in her parent's hearing, and it was beneath you.
Your attachment to this subject is edging past your reason. Respectfully, I'm out.
I don’t think dumping a freeper over one disagreement is appropriate either in my opinion..we all disagree at times..it’s the human condition
if I did that here it would no one but me and Squantos left
for the record...I approve of spanking kids at home and school and wives if appropriate
this was not appropriate, she is too old for a man to be spanking her that is not her husband fooling around
a woman administering this would be the proper course for a girl her age..I ain’t blind ..I see how 15 year old girls blossom...hell I’m embarassed just looking at their curves and stuff all jumping out...as an old guy you try not to notice cause you know it ain’t right...no way would i spank one..whew...I mean really...talking about diving into the shallow end of the pool
and yes, discipline spankings leave welts...that is the point
Swats were normal in Texas before the 1970s, teachers could give them in the hall, coaches could give them for grades, and the principal could give them.
Every swat giver had their own theories on which hurt the most, converted bats, drilled holes, tape, wide paddle, or narrow paddle.
I don’t recall girls being swatted though.
Did the people in Texas never hear of detention rooms, cafeteria or campus clean up duties, extra work assignments etc, etc?
Come on.
The alternative was there. She chose the swats.

You never met my little sister.
I was ahead of her about 4:1 on swats, but she did her share of levitation.

I was going to make a comment, but it’s apparently an option of the student to take. Paddle or suspension.
The option goes even farther in that the parents can choose to opt out of any corporal punishment via a notice to the School each year. Apparently the parents didn’t choose the ‘opt out’.
The vp broke the rules in punishing her for breaking the rules.
"So ya don't want to miss anymore classes eh young lady? Well come on in for a spanking, and we'll call it even."
I guess the adults running this high school never heard of detention rooms, cafeteria or campus clean up duties, extra work assignments etc, etc.
So I was correct, you're defending male adult public school employees, spanking young ladies in high school, young ladies old enough to join the military in less than two years.
OOOook.
Good luck with that!
BTW, many 'suspensions' are in-school suspensions. What you would call detention hall.
Cafeteria and campus clean up duties are gone by the wayside with unions and insurance concerns.

The vp broke the rules in punishing her for breaking the rules.
Yep he broke the spanking rules of the District ISD. Now that has to be dealt with in some fashion, maybe a lawsuit, three lashes to him or at least the mom can now send in a letter notifying the ISD not to use Corporal Punishment on her daughter.
