Mods (moderns) and Rockers (rock and roll) strived against each other in the 1960's . Some called them plaids and greasers (from their oil slicked hair) Just anwser the questions to see which one you are...

Well nothing wrong with metal. Bruce Dickinson is a god. Maiden is also one of the most awesome bands ever.

Oh my goodness! Bruce is a wuss!
Go on to You Tube and watch Disturbed, Godsmack, Saliva and tell me what metal is!
Sorry but if it doesn’t start with a bass riff, it AIN’T METAL!

Here by the sea and sand
Nothing ever goes as planned...

Mod...hopeless romantic

The girl I love
Is a perfect dresser
Wears every fashion...gets them to the T
Heavens above
I got to match her
She knows just how she wants her man to be...
Leave it to me...

I had a Ducati, but I’m confused.

Can I be a mod and a rocker?

I leaned more towards Dr. Jimmy.

Laugh and say I'm green
I've seen things you'll never see.
Talk behind my back
But I'm off the beaten track.
I'll take on anyone
Ain't scared of a bloody nose,
Drink till I drop down
With one eye on my clothes.

Doctor Jimmy and mister Jim
When I'm pilled you don't notice him,
He only comes out when I drink my gin.

(didn't care that much about my clothes though)

I'm not even sure what a Ducati is. Heck, I've never even owned a bike. OK, a mini-bike in my mid-teens, but never anything street legal. LOL

I think you can be either or both depending on how you feel. If you're bleeding quadrophenic you can be one, then the other, then both and still have one personality slot left to fill!

I went back to the doctor, to get another shrink
I sit there and tell him ‘bout my weekends
But he doesn’t betray what he thinks

I went back to my mother, I said, “I’m crazy ma, help me.”
She said, “I know how it feels son, ‘cause it runs in the family.”

The cracks between the paving stones
Like rivers of flowing rain
Strange people who live there
Look from behind every window pain.
The girl I use to love
Lives in this yellow house
Yesterday she passed me by
She doesn’t want to know me now

I ended up with the preacher...full of lies and hate
I seemed to scare him a little
So he showed me to the golden gate...

Can you see the real me....

The beauty of the album is that it captured the angst of teens growing up trying to fit in. I listened to that album every day (no doubt, to my detriment, as I began to assimilate the ideas more and more into my own thinking, thus becoming a classic example of arrested development.) What I remember, and what made me come back to the album over and over is that each of the 4 personae created by Townshend’s song-writing expressed my inner state at various times during my teens (heck, during my every waking moment).

I think the liner notes that painted the story for the listener said something like, “Schizophrenic? I’m a bleeding quadrophenic.”

That was me...me...me...me...me...me...me...me...

Long after identification with teen angst is gone there is
Townshend's guitar, Entwhistle's bass and Moon's drumming.
