Reply to every moderator question: “That is an interesting question, although I do not accept your premise.” Then launch into Obama with whatever the hell point about his wretched Presidency you want to make. When the moderator attempts to shut you up, repeat again and again: “Mr. Moderator, all American knows which side you support in this debate.” After applause dies down, go back to kicking Obama.

Debate: Obama’s to Lose, Is Romney Ready for Prime Time?
My suggestion:
Start out with a summary of the past four years. Things like the current bad economic data (unemployment, GDP and so on), and the disastrous foreign policy, and add something about Obamacare too.
Then at the end turn to Obama and ask him a simple yes or no question: “Mr. President, would you vote to reelect this person”?
My advice is for Romney to channel Newt Gingrich ;-)
He should ask himself at every turn “What would Newt say?” And then say it!
"Mr. Obama, I have been a leader my entire career and I've been handed messes to clean up before, from the Salt Lake City Olympics to the state government of Massachusetts. Never in any of these situations did I even refer to my predecessor nor did I attempt to lay blame on them. For blaming others is not what true leaders do. True leaders assume responsibility and they get things fixed. True leaders do not blame their predecessors in order to make an excuse for their own inability for that approach is the hallmark of a poor and ineffective leader. Mr. Obama, in just over four months, I will be inheriting your mess but you can be assured that I will take full responsibility for it on Day One and I will put the right people in place to turn this nation back in the right direction."
Mitt should compare Mass.mhelathcare to 0bamacare...for instance, how many waivers were granted to exempt certain businesses/unions from the Mass. Law as opposed to the 1600+ currently on 0bamacare?
100% know what Obama’s record is and 90% have been made up and they either like him or hate him. The other 10% know Obama but they need to know more Romney. This is his opportunity to set out his agenda. This election will be about choice.
In an opening statement, take off all your electronic prompting earpieces, etc.. Challenge Obama to do the same.
No teleprompters. mano et mano.
Pretend Obama is a conservative.
1. Hammer home the point about the 47%. No matter what the media says most decent Americans are appalled by the entitlement class with its entitlement mentality.
2. Stand firm behind Akin for standing up for his ideals and defying the media’s thinly veiled command to drop out of the race.
3. Emphasize the fact that homosexuals are deviants and their agenda is a threat to all real Americans.
4. Point out the left wing bias in the media. In fact don’t believe ANYTHING the liberal media says.
5. Don’t be afraid to play hardball with zero (e.g. personal attacks) because he sure isn’t going to play clean either.
6. Get a personality transplant from Rush Limbaugh or anyone else who actually stands up to leftist scum.
Call him Mister Obama as much as possible. Never refer to him as “The President”. It’ll get under his skin and make him all huffy.
Not quite; Lee Doren tells how to handle such a biased moderator here.
Mitt needs - NEEDS!- to get the word SOCIALIST or SOCIALISM in there.
I believe that will blow up in his face; Romney seems to be very much a Fabian-Socialist. (Take a look at his implementing of homosexual marriage, via "domestic partnership" as an example of his gradualist/reformist methodology.)
He doesn't need to call Obama one, but he needs to say something like "controlling and denigrating the means of production, punishing ingenuity and hard work, trying to be Santa Claus with other people's money -- that is SOCIALISM and every country that has gone that way has failed."
It is arguably socialism, but it is certainly fascism. [See Liberal Fascism for an analysis of the two.]
But Mitt Romney has close to zero chance of winning.
We have to be honest with ourselves; Romney is the personification of the phrase "when you try to please everybody, you please nobody." Which means, ironically, that he is the single most apt person to represent the current Republican Party. (The Party, as a whole, has become absolutely useless in its quest to be "big tent" and "compassionate" -- Hell, they won't/can't even do anything about the obvious Unauthorized Act of War and State Sponsored Terrorism that is Fast and Furious.)
Simple. Hit him hard, and then be prepared to hit twice as hard on whatever BS is spewed. It is the counterpunch that will beat Obama. He’ll lie and spin whatever charges are made. You win when you knock down his response.
Be a Conservative and do what Reagan did. Address the American public directly and join them in ridiculing Big Government and all of its waste and failures.
All I would ask is that Romney run his general election campaign like he ran the primaries. I was not a Romney supporter but his campaign instinctively knew when to go for the jugular to get the other guys numbers down. Gingrich can testify to that.Apparently, he has been neutered in the general election to date. Still waiting for the knives to come out and the bloodletting to begin. Hopefully the debates will be a kickoff.
“I think the day your convention booed God was when many Americans realized how extreme the democrat party has become”
“We can have an honest debate about abortion, but we also have to be honest that advocating the death of babies that have survived an abortion attempt is extremism in its most ugly form.”
“Socialism and wealth redistribution no longer work once you run out of other people’s money to steal.”
If Obama drones on about ‘the economy he inherited’, Romney should steal Rush’s line the other day and say...’well if you win re-election President Obama, the economy you inherit in 2014 will be twice as bad.’
LOL
In the nicest way possible, Mitt should ask (the sissy boy) Obama why he hands over the power in the White House to an Iranian woman!
Talk about these unelected czars who are not answerable to the electorate and who have huge salaries, staffs and perks. Romney could list the ones he will get rid of on day one, the dollar amount saved and the department that their duties can be rolled into: http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/29391/
