Amen!

What I’m thinking is I should quit fooling around and get my conceal carry license. At least six of any attackers wouldn’t be hurting anyone else.

You might lose some traction if you got one under the wheel, but overall, you have weight on your side. You just need more speed to move right on through and out the other side. Make sure your windshield wiper fluid is full.

Oh, and use low gear, and dont let up on the gas.

Kind of like working a vehicle through a mud bog, then?

I had to think for a second or two about your mention of windshield wiper fluid, then it dawned on me..

If you lose power in SoCA and many parts of the South West and you will definitely lose water. Perhaps not immediately but after a few days the local water supplies will be gone and no more will get pumped in.

I’ve read that story! We have it in an old book fronm the 1930’s and it is an awesome story! The part about eating crab on the beach by the Cliff House is really memorable!

Happened to me in Seoul while they were having a lot of student protests. An American contractor had hit slightly injured a pedestrian. A mob formed and pulled him out of the car and beat him to a pulp. They also beat the two military police who tried to help.

The next week I was in Seoul and headed out of town. About 10 people jumped out in front of my pickup at a stop light. They started pounding on the truck and trying to get in.

I had the doors locked so they couldn’t get in without breaking a window and I kept the truck moving. The people in front knew they had better get out of the way or they were hamburger.

Depends on the size of the crowd though. Too many people can stop any vehicle.

Yes here in Placerville, the would make it about half way through the first off ramp and they would have their hands full with the rednecks. And the sherrif up here is a very strong 2nd Amendment guy.

Darn, I live within a tankful of the biggest city in the country and have a state forest next to me which has a lake (only about 1/10th mile away).

I’m toast.

Oh, no! It sounds like I wrote that scenario based on where YOU live. If there are riots over the outcome of the election, you are probably okay as I don't think those will last long enough for zombies to head out of town - food and water will still be available if those riots stop after a week or so if they last that long. I hope you are a prepper so you have what you need.

If the economy collapses and food and water go away, you need a plan A and B. Do you have family or friends farther away from the city so there is some safety there? You would need to leave as quickly as possible if you see the economy is failing. People will be bailing out of that city, millions of them.

Perhaps you have thought on this and already know what you will do - I hope so. Stay safe.
