Sorry, I don't subscribe to newspapers any longer so I was wondering about the Doonsbury cartoon. I remember during Reagan's terms in office, the cartoonist had street people sitting on manhole covers for heat. Since O'bummer has more homeless street people in US history and is the 'foodstamp' president, how has the cartoonist portrayed this ???

My boss used to date his wife (Jane Pauley) in high school.
The guy is a trust fund baby. His grandfather convinced a bunch of people with TB (and with money) that he could cure them if they went to his clinic up in Saranac Lakes. The Trudeau family has lived quite well since then but the grandson feels guilty that he doesn’t deserve this wonderful life so he became an Obama supporting liberal.
What could make him feel better than having a black president.

Early Doonesbury was actually clever at times. Hasn’t been even that for decades.
I don’t think he dares to show any image of Hussein (he treats him like Mohammed). The rare times I pick up a free newspaper on the train, I see that Trudeau just shows the White House with conversation balloons emanating from it.
Trudeau is still pursuing degenerate approval.

This probably isn’t awfully original, but today it occurred to me that by electing Zero as the first “black” POTUS we accomplished much more than just removing any racist taint that may have clung to America.
Zero is not only black, at least by virtue of the “One drop of black blood” rule; but he is also an alien, a homo and a muslim. It seems to me that he’s pretty much a cure-all for numerous ethnic, societal and religious blotches that may have previously marred our national image.
So now that we’ve accomplished so much in 2008, we’re free to go to the polls in 2012 and vote him the bleep out of here! Aren’t we?
When Democrats are in power, there are no homeless people. But if there are homeless people, it’s only because the evil Republicans failed to pass Obama’s agenda. If they had gone along with Obama, there would be no homeless or hungry people. But if there were still homeless and hungry people even after passing Obama’s agenda, it would still be the fault of Republicans. Probably Bush would be behind all the problems. Bush and Cheney. Yeah...that’s the ticket.
Back in 1976 or 77, we had a difficult time getting the morning launch briefing done in the ready room of my last squadron. Prior to the start of the briefing all the pilots had been watching Jane Pauley on the ready room TV and were still drooling.

In those early Reagan years, it looked like the uninterrupted Communist conquests, by that time plowing inevitably up through Central America, could lead soon to an American last stand. In that era, I described Trudeau as “the only political satirist who will still have a job after the revolution.”
Lately, he’s inveighing against Romneyite “Gordon Gekko hair” and “giving rights to a fertilized egg”. His leftists still all have soft features and wise visages; his conservatives still all look like hitmen who just got through murdering their daughters.
