Garfunkel Found in the US After Sweden No-Show

US musician Art Garfunkel has been located in the US ending a search for the star which began after he failed to show up for a concert in Gothenburg in western Sweden on Friday.

"We lost track of him in Gothenburg," ticket agent Julius Malmström confirmed to the Sydsvenskan daily after the star failed to show for a second gig in Malmö on Saturday evening.

Garfunkel was due to perform as part of a touring concert entitled "Night of the Proms" alongside Anastacia, Måns Zelmerlöw and John Miles, but shortly before he was due on stage the veteran crooner disappeared.

Julius Malmström confirmed that he had last seen Garfunkel when they drove around in Gothenburg on Thursday, revealing that the artist had expressed concern over his voice.

"He seemed fit but not completely happy with his voice. It is possible that he was off colour, but if you are sick then you need to go to the doctor and get a certificate for your employer," he told the newspaper.

"This is bad form. Not least for himself. He is an icon in the business and it is regrettable if his career will end like this."

Malmström explained that ticker-holders would be entitled to a partial refund once he had contacted Garfunkel's US management on Monday to ascertain what had happened and why Garfunkel had decided to return home.

Obviously performing the biggest hit album of his solo career!

Break awa-a-a-a-ay
Fly across your ocean
Break awa-a-a-a-ay
Time has come for you
Break awa-a-a-a-ay
Fly across your ocean
Break awa-a-a-a-ay
Time has come

For you to awaken in another country
Greet the morning under foreign skies
Leaving me to face another Monday
It's not easy to get by

There must be 50 ways to leave your loofah.

(I could have done better if he had been scheduled to appear at a Paris art museum.)

Artie prolly ingested just a bit too much of parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

And Simon says what?

I didn’t even come close to saying put people in jail for not showing up for work.

Any amount of money would be theft.

Artie did the ticket holders a favor making the decision for them - some ex hasbeens are just not worth seeing.

I'm pretty sure he didn't get much in the way of front money, anyway.
Try robbing $1 from your local bank.

Breach of contract is not a criminal offense. Robbery is. If you refuse understand the difference I don’t care to try to explain it to you.

Sorry to drag you away from your gay porn to defend the thieving Art Garfunkel.

I didn’t think I was defending him, particularly. His behavior is shameful and irresponsible, just not criminal. Yet.

Art Garfunkel was "Jerry" in the rock group Tom & Jerry, whose single Hey! Schoolgirl charted late in the year 1957.

Simon was Jerry not Art. Several things say it was Paul who was Jerry. One is WIKI history showing Simon bio using the last name of a girlfriend. Another is a WIKI search of their last song that is more to the point. The last song they recorded before their break up the day before it actually was "The only living boy in New York".

It starts out "Tom get your plane ride on time. I know you'll part will go fine. Fly down to Mexico da do da da do da here I am the only living boy in New York." Art was leaving to go play a part in a movie trying to launch an acting career in Catch 22.

I've read an account where there were actually many uncredited back ground voices in that song including Bob Dylan.

No Shows for concerts or performances have always been Civil Court matters not criminal ones. It’s been such ever since. No shows have happened quite frequently even among more reliable named preformers. My guess is in this case age and other factors are catching up and he can’t hit the notes. I saw a Youtube video of him singing Bridge over Troubled Water and he got off synch on the verses or parts of them anyway. But I’ve also seen an early video of The Beatles singing Help and they too screwed up. John was singing one verse {wrong one & even the wrong words} and George and Paul were singing another. LOL
