Business owners Dee and Gene Liboff of Woodland Hills, California, just wanted to show their support for Mitt Romney in the coming election by putting up a handmade sign in front of their home. Every time it happens, the Liboffs...

Follow the Doctor’s prescription, and rub the sign well with Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac. Watch for neighbors with Calamine Lotion.

I know a better mix, and as easy to get.
But it would fall under the heading of WMD.

There are all sorts of products that could be put on the sign that would get off on the skin of the vandals ranging from irritating agents to tagants that would show up under UV light during an investigation. Inventive minds can probably meet the need.

Put cameras, with night vision, around it and spot lights for night time illumination.

“I like your prescription, doc!”
Caught my neighbor’s teenaged kid that way!
“Gee, Joe! That’s a nasty case of Poison Ivy! Where did you get it?”
“I dunno, but it itches a lot.”
Bwaaaaa!

Pour capsaicin is the active ingredient in pepper spray and is available at spice shops and cooking supply stores. One drop in a pot of chile will make it too hot to be edible by anyone except a Texan.
Rubbed around the edge of a sign (use rubber gloves!!) it will not be immediately noticeable to a vandal. Contact with the eyes, nose, genatalia, or other mucus membranes produces prolonged pain and burning. Capsaicin is not solvable in water and is difficult to remove without soap.

Speaking of names, I wonder if there is anyone named Tyrone, Leroy ,or Tawana in their neighborhood. There aren't a lot of Amish living in Woodland Hills.
Interestingly, I had an uncle named Leroy--who was not Amish. I remember going out to his chicken farm when I was a kid and being awakened by roosters early in the morning. Disneyland sits on that site today.

Try some of this--it's essentially pure capsaicin:

No, they were exposed to the everyday side of almost all liberals.
