Good luck to you and your son.
He’s going to do GREAT! It’s like a reallllly well-funded summer camp, except with a WHOLE lot of yelling, at first. It’s also easy to fall asleep if you’re really tired.
But he’ll love it and he’ll be FINE.
He’ll do great, and so have you.
Your son has a very good foundation from YOU. Thank you for raising someone who serves. Please thank your son for this grateful American. Know that I shall pray for his safety.
God I pray you grab these deserting dads by the scruffs of their necks and direct their cheating hearts like watercourses. Let them be miserable with their situation, so they will turn to you and return home to the families that they deserted as Christ like fathers and husbands willing to lay their lives down for their families.
he’ll do well, you’ve raised a good man, yes a man. He has values and stability, traits that will serve him well in the very near future. Thank You, and Thank him from us all.
My very best to you and your son. BTT.
Awesome post. God bless you and your son.
inspiration to us all.
Thank you
God bless him, and God bless you and yours.
Good luck to you both and BIG HUGS!!!
Thank you so much for raising a good boy in circumstances that other women consider an excuse to throw up their hands in surrender. I will pray for him too. His road won’t be an easy one. But you did prepare him for it better than most other parents.
If it's not too late, convince your son to joing the Air Force. I think his opportunities are much greater in the USAF and the AF treats its enlistees better. Much better. He'll be safer, too, although many AF personnel do end up in the war zone. This is based on my son's experience as an enlisted man who eventually was accepted to and graduated from the USAF Academy.
PS: Excellent letter.
This kid is not troubled. He has a learning issue. Just like my son.
God Bless the USA!
Thank you for that advice. He actually would prefer the AF, since my father and his 6 brothers were all officers in the AF. He did not do well on the practice test, so it may be easier for him to enter the Army. The math portion apparently kicked his butt and that discouraged him.
Just my humble experience speaking here...
It is going to be a bit of a shock at first... then normal
I wish I could do it all over again, I need a Time Machine
TT
PS if you hear any complaints about Basic, reassure him that it gets much worse... (Social Engineering) ... the rest of it is to be treasured, life long friends and a Mission.
