Looks like a sawed off shotgun to me.

Amazing how much we knew about what the Nazis were doing to Jews and other Eastern Europeans and how little we could do about it at this time in the war. We were just launching our baby steps toward North Africa.

I am also struck by the comparison between Stalingrad and Guadalcanal. The numbers were vastly different, but both the Russians and we Americans were gaining by using the advantages of the defense by destroying large numbers of the enemy fighting a desperate offense. They were feeding their best troops into meat-grinders.

sport: "Don't delude ypurself into believing that the police over here [U.S.A.]will resist orders from their superiors to round us up and put us on the trains."

BJK: "I'd be curious to know just who you might mean by "us", kemo sabe.
Law abiding defenders of our Free Republic?
Champions of liberty?"

sport, seeming to disagree: "People such as myself...
People such as others on this forum.
Conservatives, legal gun owners, freedom lovers, people who do not worship Government officials.
...I apologize for implying that you were one of "us"."

However you define "us", and whomsoever you chose to include or exclude from "us", the key words in both of our definitions are "legal" and "law abiding".
Those words mean that so long as the world remains as we have known it, there is no possibility that we conservatives will ever suffer a fate remotely similar to Europe's Jews under Nazism.

Of course, I'm not saying it can never happen, only that it won't happen, so long as people like us are alive to prevent it.
And I'm sure there are many more of us than some might suppose.

PeterPrinciple: "The standard Nuremberg defense was “I only did what I was told.”
This is human nature to trust and follow orders, sorry to say but most people are sheep..."

Much as I distrust "Progressive" liberals, I've seen no evidence of some latent desire on their part to round up all conservatives and ship us off to concentration camps.
Indeed, when you think about it, if they exterminated all conservatives, who would do the real work, and pay all the taxes?

No, a socialist "progressive" looks on us conservatives the same way a farmer looks at his dairy cattle -- as livestock to be controlled, fed and even pampered, just as much as necessary to produce the maximum "milk" (taxes) possible.
To borrow another metaphor, even the dumbest of liberals understands that you don't kill the goose which lays golden eggs.

As for the long-distance future, who knows?
But I'd say it's a little, ahem, "premature" to begin worrying about cattle cars and gas chambers for America's conservatives.

No they don't! Look at History. THEY DON'T CARE! They will gladly tax the “rich” 100%. They think the rich will stay here.

I have had my local mayor begin a meeting with . “I don't care about you and your problems.................”

Obama is destroying the wealth, not milking it.

Now a republican might think like you propose.

Evidently I misunderstood your response. I take back my remarks direced to your response and again say I am sorry.

Hmmmm.... I was actually thinking more along the lines of Dems like Bill Clinton.
Agreed, Obama is a different kind of "progressive"...

Hopefully, all that will soon be nothing more than a bad memory... ;-) !
