If Obama wins...
self

Posted on 11/02/2012 2:22:21 PM PDT by ottbmare

I still feel optimistic about a Romney victory. But if Obama wins next week, whether by cheating or by the stupidity of the electorate, things are going to get much worse in this country. It's quite possible that election rules will be changed and freedom of speech suppressed so much that the forces of conservatism could not win an election again, as Bill Whittle reminds us. So what are your plans in that case? Are you going Galt? How will you change your behavior and your life in the event of an Obama win?

If Obama wins I expect the tea party to rise up again and we will observe civil disobedience as obamacare is implemented. The economy will get much worse and the democrats will own it all! People haven’t suffered enough yet. They need to hit rock bottom where they start to starve. Then things will change for the better. That’s what I hope anyway.

Boycott the Enemedia networks. Cancel cable TV permanently. Boycott
Google/Yahoo. Boycott Starbucks. Screw the entertainment media. Listen
to collections of oldies on LPs and cassette tapes. Focus on personal health and financial health. Keep contributing to FR.

I will stock up, that is for sure, because if that idiot wins, the country will crash and crash hard.

I will prepare for the worst.. probably should have been doing that anyway.

“Some people seem to be worried about RIOTS if Obama loses.”

It'll be the far left extreme doing it. That won't help the radical extreme democrat party at all. People will see what the democrat party has become, and they won't like it.

The US government won’t survive with Lil Barry at the helm. Within the next four years, some states will secede. That will be the end of this nonsense.

I’ve had the same plans for a long time: now that the kids are grown and out the door, I’m going to get out of this house, since I’ll no longer be required to live near their father. I am in constant prayer that I can move to Virginia’s Piedmont and use the equity in my house to buy five to ten rural acres and a rundown house within reasonable commuting distance of a small city where I can get a modest job. That would mean Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Winchester, Charlottesville, maybe Warrenton. I am going to hide out there and become a crazy old farm woman. I have lived on a farm and know what’s involved, though it’s not much fun. I don’t expect to live too long anyway. But we’ll see what God has in mind.

I could see eventual civil disobedience. But patriots are pretty far apart, and they can isolate us further by controlling communication.

Already doing all that, no matter who wins, no matter what happens with the economy! It's been years since I was in a Starbucks and I don't have a TV or cable. I do't give information to Google and don't pay the entertainment industry for anything. But I was thinking more about what major changes people are thinking about if Obama wins and we see this country start sliding toward perdition.

We have been the last, best hope of mankind. If the United States is over, we are in for a long, dark time in history. Totalitarianism, repression, poverty, fear, cruelty, communism, warfare. The Devil will have a field day.

Oh, come quickly, Lord Jesus!

We quit cable years ago (although we finally got an antenna a couple of weeks ago to watch MeTV & the constant weather channel; not weather.com, was a gimmee). Neither of us has been to, or rented, a movie in 25 years (we like the oldies; pre 1975, better anyway). Neither of us drink coffee. (not a “conviction”. We’re just addlepated like that) DH listens to Pandora pretty regular & I sometimes do.
That only leaves yahoo (my email) & google. I’m hoping to get a FR email next time I donate or I may go back to Hushmail if it’s not available anymore.
Any suggestions re search engines? (But I’m not likely to give up Google maps/ satellite (cause I like to check out the roads before I go. Mapquest lost me when they went “new & improved”)

PS Have I mentioned lately how much I love FR? This is the only forum I’ve ever been on where I can go back & forth without losing my post or screw up & delete all or part of it- hit the back button & there it is!

Excellent advice. You’ve described much of what i do. Cancelled Cable tv in 2006. Even if there is a Romney win,
i’m thinking i’ll be moving to a more “redstate” type area.
Its a shame. I love my neighborhood, but i want to prepare
for the next,my remaining decades.

I’m praying, too, but God may answer “No” to us. It’s really the job of Christians to get our lives in order before He will save America. He doesn’t ask for, or expect, the unsaved to do the right thing; it’s up to us to experience a revival within our own Christian lives before He will “heal the land”.

II Chron 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

If God forgives the US in its' current state, he's going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

If 0 wins, I'm going to quietly put my USA flag in a ziplock and keep it in my safe. I won't fly my precious flag during the coming death of America.

Yeah; I’ve been praying “Lord help us” for a long time, for this Obamanation to turn around hard. If it’s His will for Obama to run things for the next 4 yrs. (please no!), we will hunker down out here on the 16 acres we have, continue to raise the little organic garden like we have for the past few years and store what I’m able to store, stock supplies in the bunker, prepare for whatever comes, simplify, simplify, simplify, forget the chickens most likely, hunker down and let the liberals continue to live in their make believe bubble while we continue to live in Realville. - Honestly, we know that no matter what Romney does if he’s elected, the MSM will be on him like a duck on a June bug as a mean old Republican. Democrats will continue to lie and block every step of the way. People may have to get a craw full of socialism before they decide it’s not all that wonderful after all. I’m gonna trust in the Lord and not lean on my own understanding.

I do understand how you feel. And I don't entertain any illusions concerning what we can expect from Romney.

It's just that any war is fought in independent battles. The battle we are engaged in now is going to result in either a win or loss for Obama.

If Obama does not win, we will gain some ground and we can begin to prepare for the next fight. If Obama does win, things are going to get a LOT harder for all of us.

So, for now, I stay focused on this...

VOTE FOR ONE:

___ OBAMA

X_ THE ONE WHO IS NOT OBAMA

The thought of Obama winning again is frightening indeed. Emboldened by victory even after all the lies, failures and corruption and with no fear of losing the next election, he will act with total impunity.

25% unemployment, 70 million Americans in poverty, 70 million Americans on food stamps, 23 trillion in debt, full implementation of Obamacare, higher and higher taxes and tighter and tighter government control will be the order of the day.

We’ve all GOT to get together and vote Obama out on November 6th whether we like Romney or not!

And by the way I’ve got 4 months worth of canned goods and bottled water, 2 shotguns, 2 rifles and 2 pistols, lots of ammo and The Holy Bible. And working on gathering more.

My husband and I have dicussed this a lot lately. We’ve pretty much decided that if the rat commie gets another 4 years we’re heading to Texas or Oklahoma.

We figure that will be where Americans will make their last stand.
