Hope the Romneybots and Establishment Republicans are proud of themselves
Vanity | 07 Novermber 2012 | Trueblackman

Seems the Romneybots and Establishment Republicans now want to blame Conservatives like myself for Mittens going down to defeat last night to a political lightweight with a horrible record of mismanagement!

Not only did Mittens lose, but his much hyped coattail never materialized and not only was he defeat handily, but the Republicans lost seats and influence in the Congress.

What the establishment fails to realize and continues to not understand is that when there is not true Conservative or even Conservative Ideas on the ticket, we tend to stay home. It is time for the Republican Establishment to understand that the Karl Rove Model is not and has not worked since 2008 as the Bob Dole Model did not work in 1996.

In closing I will say again what I said last night, "When you run a Liberal against a entrenched Marxist, this is the results." If the Republicans ever want to win a national race again it must give us Conservative Candidates and dump the Dole-McCain-Romney Models as I could not simply buy into the hype of yesterday and vote against my own interest, so I wrote in myself.

Time to dump Karl Rove and the establishment Republicans now as they will warm up and pull out the Jeb Bush banner and bus in 2016, thinking the nation will not vote for Biden or someone like him.

So why did the following stalwarts lose?

Richard Mourdock in IN
Todd Akin in MO
Joe Miller in AK
Doug Hoffman in NY-23
Sharron Angle in NV
Christine O’Donell in DE
Ken Buck in CO
JD Hayworth in AZ
George Allen in VA

Were they also not conservative enough?

There were a variety of conservatives, but each one of them decided that they were only true conservative and ate each other alive.

Hindsight is always 20-20, but they could have swallowed their egos and coalesced around one of them, maybe Romney would have had a challenge, but each one saw him/herself as “the only true conservative.”

There were a variety of conservatives in the primary, but they ate each other alive during the primary and Romney was the only one left.

I don’t even think Ronald Reagon could have beat Obama. The mainstream media, and other ‘players’ abroad (think Soros), want America to be a Socialist country.

George Allen ran a horrible campaign here in the Washington D.C. Area and deserved to lose honestly, he tried that damn nice guy act and Kaine ran over him like a truck.

The others the establishment neither supported or did everything to hurt their image.

They like free stuff course their too stupid to realize that somebody other than themselves money bought that... Then you have the really stupid people who shouldn’t be voting!!!

I’m with ya.

Personally I don’t believe they ever really planned to win. Heavy lifting comes with winning.

Ronald Reagan knew how to communicate his positions and did not allow the media and political lies shape his image, Mittens was a wishy-washy Northeastern Republican, who not only allowed the media to actually help Obama in the last 2 debates, but ran he is a nice Guy campaign and did not attack him hard enough.

Prunes? The Marxist beat the Liberal and the Establishment lost influence in the Congress, real Conservative tried to warn the party, when they were pushing Mittens.

I hope that the anti-Romney folks are happy with themselves.

It's obvious what happened here; the evangelicals and "no compromise" folks didn't turn out. Romney got fewer votes than McCain. All of the freepers who threatened not to come out carried through on their threat, and they gave away the Senate right along with it.

Thanks for making sure ObamaCare is here to stay.

I’m sure the GOP-E is entirely content. Although they would have liked a Romney win, they’re perfectly fine with Obama. They averted what they most despised... a conservative or Tea Party leader.

What unites the GOP and the Dems is humanism. Dishonesty or as they call it, “spin” is a key value of humanism.

Sharron Angle’s was the dry run! Trojan horse kicked in, that was it! I’d posted “can the election be rigged” before after reading lots of electronic voting exploits, etc.

Congratulations to all those FReepers who said to lay off pursuing Obama for identity fraud and forgery as well as the NBC matter, instead insisting we can vote him out in 2012..

Four more years!!!

Nice try at sarc, but the Establishment Republicans redisticed his district out of existence which was a another smooth move allowed by the party big wigs.

Well, considering the whole Romney/GOP-E attitude was “evangelicals and TEA partiers need to shut up, ride in the back, and do as you’re told”, I’m not surprised many of them chose to stay home. (And I say this as someone who grudgingly voted for Romney.)
