Name a recent president whose second term was more successful than his first.

I've been around since Harry Truman's first term and have been trying to see how someone could make a case that any president during that time had better success in his second term than he had in the first one.
Truman? Nope
Eisenhower? Possibly
Johnson? Nyet
Nixon? Nix
Reagan? Show me
Clinton? HAH!
Bush? Hardly

I thought Clintons right turn came after the 94 midterms, enabling him to cruise through his re-election as a moderate.

Clinton did to Liberal Bob Dole Says in 1996 exactly what he did to Poppy in 1992. He ran just a tad to the right of them or equal on most issues and won. Same thing Obama just did to Romney.

No president has ever had the sickening, groveling, fawning, see no evil, presstitudinous press this president has.

Maybe with the exception of Kennedy.

It really is amazing that a scandal isn’t a scandal until the lamestream stasi press says it is. What we really need is Judge Sirica.

I do wonder whether Reid can hold his senate together. Those demorat senators don’t owe a thing to the Marxist. He didn’t do one iota for them.

The Marxist may yet be brought down by his arrogance and the 2nd term curse.

IT IS CARTER.

Name a recent president whose second term was more successful than his first

I notice there is no real clear mention of second term as what. Carters went from Carter-President Carter-Carter. His second term as a "nobody" was definitely more successful. He won the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest honor for private citizens. In 2002 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. And he is loved by millions worldwide.

And then in 1959, Hawaii became the fiftieth state, and then Obama came along.

Kenya was there first

He signed the welfare reforms in 1996 - ironically, they were nearly identical to the reforms that Reagan had tried to get enacted. In 1997 he signed the child support enforcement laws which assisted in reducing the number of deadbeat parents. All in all, while I despise Clinton, I think this was a great accomplishment and we need them badly again. Obama has gone to great lengths to water down the reforms enacted then.

Obama is doomed. Watch as the cracks form—what when the media turns on him—it will in time. I do not believe he will finish his four years. He will be out before the midterm elections—that’s what I predict.

This president has a habit of doing things other presidents have been unable to.

This president is not concerned with the Constitution or Law. Harry read thumbs his nose at the Constitution with his procedures and no budget. Election fraud, retribution, lies, slander are the habits of this president in the mode of Al Capone.
