Can we get a list going of retailers that's using the word Christmas or not in their advertisements and stores.
Lowe's is first on my list as not saying Christmas in their add that I got in the mail today, not sure what's in the store.
Hobby Lobby- proudly displaying Christmas trees and decorations! Closed Sundays, also.
Just came out of a local Target too, surprised to see a Merry Christmas banner at the entrance. Must have overheard wife and I mocking “holiday season”.
I just realized I have not gotten a single sales flyer in the mail this week.
Typically I should have gotten a dozen or so. Not sure why.
I can’t wait for the first editorial deriding the “War on Festivus”.
Legwork already done here. Done annually and updated yesterday. http://www.lc.org/index.cfm?PID=17981
I for one am happy to hear that.......Can we get through Thanksgiving and Black Friday weekend before we start with Christmas? Sheesh.
What’s your address? I have 43 catalogs and flyers I will send you that I have received just this week. Apparently they didn’t get my letter saying that I had no money and would not be buying anything.
Darn, they must have access to my bank account info and knew I had no money to spend this year.
Ha... Christmas stuff has gone on sale in stores around the first of November - since about 1945 when I began taking notice.
Not everywhere. I’ve really only noticed it getting closer and closer to Halloween with in the past 15 years or so. I guess this year it just really hit me when my 14 year old commented to me about Christmas stuff in the store the week BEFORE Halloween........
Oh brother....can’t we wait until after Thanksgiving. This is ridiculous. Merchants have been very good the last few years trying to use Merry Christmas more than previous years.
I am not going to buy from a store that takes Christ out of Christmas.
Patronizing Target makes you a supporter of the homosexual agenda. Congratulations.
I’m more concerned about the War on Saturnalia...
You should probably look for a dead postal employee who everyone thinks is napping!
Our Thanksgiving paper proudly stated that there were “Five Pounds of Ads” included with the paper — and there were. No news, but plenty of ads.
and you will find some more articles on the FR waronchristmas;
did you check the lists?
Yes I did, thank you.
