It's a cloudy day here in Missouri, but the weather is mild going to a high of 58 and low of 48 tonight. We have had sunshine and balmy days for most of the week, and I took the row covers off to let the plants breath a little more, but also to harveset the bounty.
A little lettuce and lots of Rosemary, Stevia, Lavendar, Parsley, Carrots, and a snip of tarragon. Still eating on falls tomato pickings-all are various shades of red-no green ones left.
The green bells are blooming like crazy, and already have 9 peppers of various sizes developing. My lemon tree has almost 20 little pea sized buds, but I may pinch back some of those.
I planted some more spinach and lettuce this week, but it hasn't sprouted yet. Hope the weather in your location is great and you are enjoying your gardening activities. Best Wishes, and God Bless.

We still have lettuce, turnips and turnip greens in the garden; some spinach in the gutter garden on the side of the garage. (So far, I’m not excited about the gutter garden; it’s messy, soil is of necessity shallow and production is low. It’s husband’s project, so I don’t want to hurt his feelings.) - If a person can just raise a little lettuce and a few tomatoes, they’re ahead of the game; tomato growing season has been over for us for a while.
I am awful. I snort disparagingly everytime I see this ridiculous post/thread.
How exactly, what should maybe be a letter to the grandchildren (under nine years old) becomes a regular post on FR, eating up band width, I’m so sure I don’t know.
I recommend posting in Junior Scholastic.
Sorry. I now feel better for getting this off my chest.
The bamboo we planted along the driveway a few years ago is doing very well.
Isn’t stevia the plant that can be used as a sugar substitute? If so, do you dry it and grind it up or simply add as a green?
‘posed to freeze here next week Monday and Tuesday...
I guess my Bell’s and Jalapeno’s will be done...
I had a free range ‘mater pop up about 6 weeks ago I may put a bucket on it since it has had a couple blooms stick...I doubt I can nurse it through the Winter tho.
My Neighbor with the tiller is moving I’m gonna have to come up with a tiller...unnnggghhh.
We had a light frost this morning but I don’t see any damage done. I continue to plant winter cover crop at this LATE date but the weather is gorgeous and it feels good to be able to get outside and away from the Ritas of the world...
Weather was unseasonably warm in western PA this week, 60 degrees F. I was picking dandelions out of the yard - dandelions sprouted like it was summer.
I have alot of old seed that I’ll never plant that’s taking room in my freezer, and I’d like to give it rather than throw it away.
Most if it is peppers, eggplant and gourds with some squash, a tomato, and various other varieties. As a said the seed is old and don’t know if it will germinate worth a darn, but being free it might be worth the gamble.
This is kind of an all or nothing thing, if one person would be willing to take everything off my hands then I’d be willing to pay the shipping to send it. First come first serve and if anyone is interested I’ll send you a list.
My apology for offending the WGT, and everyone subjected to my uncalled for and impatient remarks of yesterday.
Please, forgive me ad my cranky display against your garden thread.
I’m sorry about my case of the child brat.
