If you liked the movie you would like the books so much better.
Check out a guy called Andrew Klavan he is a conservative author writes editorials for numerous news outlets.
His books are great i think my fav is “The Animal Hour” had me going till the last 20 pages..
They are making a movie ,Andrew submitted a screenplay for it.

I’ve read a lot of Patterson’s ‘Alex Cross’ novel.

Kinda got tired of Nana being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
And lately a lot of his books are ‘with so ans so’. IOW the so and so writes the book, Patterson gives his stamp of approval. That’s my guess anyway.
Connelly is waaay better.

Tom Clancy has done the same thing ‘with so and so’. Don’t read him anymore.
Vince Flynn is Da Man for political black ops books.

Reading some Sandford ‘Prey....’ novels right now.

I just finished The Black Box, predictable ending so basically its a rather weal Bosch novel.

I hear Jack Reacher is falling behind, most people would rather go see the Hobbit.

I dissed Total Recall when it came out but kinda liked the disc. Would have been a different history if this one came out first before the original, I think it would have done quite well.

Its not surprising on other forums many are also dissing the casting of Tom Cruise, one poster said there was a scene where they had to dig a trench so the other actors were at least head level with him.

You’ll love Flynn. There are only 2 books that should be read in order, can’t remember which ones but you might start w/ his first.

The casting of a book hero is difficult. People who actually read all the books in a series expect the main character to look like the author portrayed him. Tom Cruise does not look like Jack Reacher.

If Tom Cruise played Harry Bosch, I wouldn’t go to see it. I can’t tell you how much that would annoy me.

Tom Cruise playing a character 6’4”

John Rhys Davies is 6'1" and he played a dwarf in LOTR.....Amazing what they can do with cinematography today.

Really? Wow!

It’s a revisionist history tale, not on the scope of “Basterds” though.

Maybe save your $ and watch online.

Just got back from Jack Reacher. Despite my reservations about Cruise playing the part it was a good movie. I didn’t get the scene where Jack selects a shirt and coat from a closet full of the same kinds of shirts and coats. Jack wouldn’t have a closet full of clothes. Movies are different than books, they have to move it along so you don’t get the characters history and thoughts like you can in a book. Which is fine. This was the best movie I have seen in a while Three stars for sure, maybe even 3 1/2.
