Why nothing on the fireman shooting in NY. All the usual suspects,MSNBC,CNN void of any or little coverage. Could it be because the shooter was a certified wack job and the system released him after slaying his G Mom with a hammer. Could it be all the weapons were possibly purchased legally and if so with his past history he never should have been allowed to be near a fire arm or a hammer. Any opins/

i’ve seen lots of coverage, especially yesterday. What I can’t find is information on what sort of rifle the nutjob used. One has to assume it was a “hunting” style rifle of the type that wouldn’t be covered by an assault weapons ban. If it were an AR style rifle it would be in the lead sentence of every story.
If one of his weapons came from 0bama’s illegal Fast and Furious gun-running, then the news media will bury the entire incident.
Because this story is clear support of Wayne LP’s arguements. The story has been a constant on local radio
The whole public safety community has been affected by this incident. It has been reported that one of the firefighters killed was also a Police Lt and the other a 9-1-1 Dispatcher, both of who were volunteers with the FD.
Thoughts and prayers to their families and friends and praying for a speedy recovery to the other 2 firefighters who were shot and currently being treated for their injuries.
Is there information on why he was released from prison after murdering his grandmother with a hammer? Why wasn’t he sentenced to be executed? Was there a plea bargain by the DA? Who was the judge who sentenced him? Who was on the parole board that released him? All of these people may well be co-conspirators in the murder of the firemen.
It doesn’t fit their gun control narrative because he obviously obtained the weapons in spite of an absolute prohibition against felons having firearms.
This is exactly the kind of guy prisons were made for. He should have never walked free.
It was all over Foxnews. I think some networks don’t have their writers working today so they only recycle certain stories.
This a-hole set a trap by lighting his own house on fire and waiting for first responders to get there.

Laws will not stop the insane.You can write gun laws till hell freezes over , but if a crazy wants to kill he/she will find a way.
This incident has been very quiet in the Media, I guess it doesn’t fit their agenda.I listened to the 911 dispatch tape and it was amazing the calm and coolness with which the Firefighter on the scene and wounded was descrining the incident. That guy had balls of steel.

If only Barry had been able to have a sit-down beer gab with him none of this would have happened. Since this country now belongs to Sam Donaldson I suggest he be immediately arrested and executed for allowing this to happen. Hey Sam, what goes around comes around.
Some people should just be terminated. Killing a relative, particularly and elderly women, with a hammer should be an executable offense. It would have saved several lives and would have probably been merciful to the nutcase who lived an obviously tortured life.
The judge and the parole board’s pictures should be run on national news.

Please don’t let the left define the terms....with the term ‘hunting rifle’. Many ‘hunting rifles’ are semi-auto, fire a more high energy round than an AR15, and can accept large magazines.
If the ban the ‘assault weapons’ based on their semi auto capability, they have banned most rifles and pistols.
As to the OP, this felon was probably not allowed to own any gun ..so this episode demonstrates the futility of gun laws. Doesn’t fit the narrative quite right.
I don’t have any issue with former felons being armed but those who are too dangerous to own a weapon are too dangerous to be released in the first place.
