Secretary of State nominee John Kerry, with 20 years of concern about climate change, is expected to push the issue to center stage as a slow-motion crisis in need of a global solution.

When he sought to defeat President George W. Bush in 2004, the Democratic senator from Massachusetts made a point of challenging the Bush administration's backtracking on the issue and rejection of climate science. In contrast, he told the nation, he “believes in science.”

I wasn’t aware that “climate change” was in the Secretary of State’s job description. This will put Algore out of work.

>>If I were a big big war hero like Kerry I’d probably stay away from Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam. He must have ‘offed’ several thousand natives whose relatives may hold a grudge. On second thought, I hope he goes there!!<<

If John Kerry is worried about climate change you can bet the farm he has money invested in it.
Gore is getting even richer with his climate investments and its a sure thing if Kerry is pushing it he has a monetary investment also.

We should begin thinking of the cap and trade fees as a regressive tax on the poor and middle class. that is what it is, a trickle down involuntary tax.

Wonderful!
The clown is not just a liar, and a traitor, but clueless about the most elementary definition of science.

Science is NOT computer simulations; science is not manipulated data from the past. Science is not concluding that a combination of a series of possibles, but improbables, have the certainty of documented past events.
It's bad enough that we have one major gobal warming moron at NASA, we might soon have another at the State Department!

The State Department?
WTF??

Mr. Jenjis Kahn better go back to his ketchup arrested development existence. Time to grow up, Dude!

As Obamacare slides in, the cliff gets fallen over, or the deal Boehner sets up we are going to see a lot more taxes.

We are about to enter the tax zone.

Too bad for John that the senate will be more conservative next week than it is right now.

The republicans lost two seats, essentially, they lost Snowe and Brown, both of whom would always vote for stupid international treaties anyway.

And Deb Fischer is essentially replacing Lugar, while Donnelly is essentially replacing Nelson. With this switch, the democrat caucus becomes more liberal while the republican caucus becomes more conservative (especially without Brown and Snowe)

Add to that the replacements of Hutchison with Cruz and Kyl with Flake, there will be a more harder line republican caucus in the senate who will question these stupid treaties. Kerry will enjoy the striped-pants world stage life but he will be miserable when he can’t get anything through the senate.

Didn’t Kerry ‘get his’ by marrying wealthy women? I suspect he’s got something to prove to the guys with a pair... like how he can lord it over them... Wasn’t his wife’s first husband ( the one who made all the money ) a Republican?
