Squirrels can be awfully aerobatic when they want to, and, in the case of one squirrel, those aerobatics led to some delicious bird food.
Realizing that he couldn’t walk across a suspended bird feeder, this little crafty guy used the suspension line and his adorable paws to create a squirrel-based zipline.
Either this squirrel really wanted to have some fun, or the bird feed in the suspended feeder is absolutely amazing.
This video was uploaded to YouTube on December 28 and has racked up 3,882 views at the time of this post.

I used to live in a 20 story apartment building. It had a rough, concrete exterior.
I was sitting on my 17th floor balcony one afternoon and a grey squirrel came climbing up, looking on each balcony for food.
They should have used the “Mission Impossible” theme as background music.
They really thrive in urban environments, because they are like parkour masters. Tall buildings are playgrounds for them and power lines are highways.
I watch one go into the rear courtyards of apartment buildings, during the day when everyone is at work. He goes up the porch stairs and hides his nuts in people’s potted plants, so the other squirrels don’t find his stashes. I’ve seen other squirrels stash food up on window A/C units, like it’s their pantry shelf. One of them climbed up under the hood of my car and stashed an apple on top of my engine block. I drove around for a day wondering why it smelled like caramel in my car before I found it!
