Just some great musicianship. Happy Saturday. Shabbat Shalom.
Wish I could afford one. For now I'll stick with this:
Technically brilliant but personally I prefer more communication, emotion and feeling: Miles; Coltrane; even Shepp - many others.. Maybe if there was real saxophonist with them I’d appreciate it more! Just the duo- it sorta reminds me of something computer generated.
I actually thought it was a pretty good demonstration of communication and emotion and feeling.
Awesome! Thanks!
Good 'ol thunderfingers... :-)
Cool video. And he only needed 4 strings!
Different strokes, that’s all. This kind of music is more real to me. It’s an odyssey. I don’t think you can say that about the style of music in the other links. Anyway, good thing for us there is such a wide choice of music to choose from.

Four is Enough!
That’s a nice bass!
(I have a Schechter 24-fret long neck, which I have also had to use as an assault weapon.)
SHABBAT SHALOM!
That’s true. It is an odyssey. And I guess I’m still traveking
I had a jazz show on the radio at GA Southern at that time . I played that album a lot.

Yeah, I can imagine. I’ve heard it dozens and dozens of times - at least!, and it never gets old. Even the more far out, expressionist works of Coltrane have broader appeal than his contemporaries like Ornette Colman and Dolphy - even Miles, IMO.
We watched Puss in Boots the other night & I watched all thru the credits to see who did some of the music. I love the guitar, & especially flamenco...

And I love the comment at the site: I was hoping it was going to say no guitars were harmed in the making of this video
Yes, I tend that way too, technique is great, but the real point of music is non-verbal, emotional communication. If you focus on the technique too much, it kind of turns into musical masturbation.
There’s a reason that most popular music is very simple, and that is because you don’t need a lot of complexity to have the greatest emotional impact on a listener. Those forms might not be as intellectually stimulating, but it’s a trade-off that comes with the complexity.
When was that? I went to G.S. for awhile, too back in the mid 80's. Even did a stint on the radio.
Seems we had a 'small world' moment before, but I can't remember what or when.
I was there in 85-86 and I was playing ‘old stuff’, often late at night. That could’ve been me relieving you.
