Threepeat: President visits same restaurants on this year's vacation as last year's...

After a day of golf, President Obama on Friday night had a long, late dinner in Waikiki, spending more than 3 1/2 hours at Nobu restaurant. Joined by First Lady Obama and an unidentified group of friends, the President arrived at the "perennially hip" Waikiki Parc Hotel at 8:35 PM, home to Nobu, which bills itself as "yet another canvas for Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to display his legendary dishes." The closed-off streets around the hotel filled with excited crowds as word of the President's presence spread through Waikiki.

President Obama likes the the chef's canvas: Nobu was his first dining outing of 2012, when he had dinner there with Mrs. Obama last New Year's Day. The visit makes the President's dining excursions for this year's vacation a threepeat from last year's vacation. During both island getaways, he also dined at Alan Wong's restaurant and dined at Morimoto. Mr. Obama had his annual shave ice run on Thursday, so he's now hit all his favorite hotspots before he leaves for Washington late on Saturday night.

Nobu's pricey menu offers raw and cooked seafood and beef, "Nobu Style," with cold delights such as Nobu Style Sashimi Tacos, Lobster Salad with Spicy Lemon Dressing, Bigeye and Blue Fin Toro. Cooked dishes include Black Cod Saikyo Miso, Squid 'Pasta' with Light Garlic Sauce, Blue Fin Toro Tabanyaki, and Beef Tenderloin. Entrees range in price from $23 to $48, with the Blue Fin going for a much higher market price. Appetizers are between $6 and $25...

Restaurant dining in HI is outrageously expensive. We’ve been there, but we always bought fresh fish and produce at the grocery and prepared our own meals. Easily cut the cost of the trip in half.

That is not exactly terrible prices. I mean those prices are normal in many places in Annapolis Maryland. I am not impressed Mr. President. I took my family to eat on the Eiffel Tower and spent over 900 dollars for six.

“Meanwhile, we had Campbell’s soup for dinner. You? “

Potato & cheese pierogies. A buck at Dollar Tree. When dining out, it’s either a bean burrito at Taco Bell or eggs & hash browns at Waffle House.

We had sloppy joes, rice and veggies with dip. Cake later. But we were all together, in good health, and did have some food on the table and some left in the pantry. We’re good. Maybe in better shape emotionally and spiritually than the Obamas.

All the fancy feasts in the world won’t fill a hole in your soul.

What drives (no pun intended) a skinny-as-a-rail black guy to so insistantly play golf?

I know a lot of deals happen on the golf course and I've thought for a long time that THAT was the reason for zero to get away from eyes and ears .. but I'm not so sure now.

Is there a drug problem (f'rinstance) that impels one to be overly active? speed?

Your ol'lady pisses you off?

'meetings' in the locker room?

These nobama parasites aren’t entertaining. They both should be in a SuperMax prison for the rest of their worthless, destructive lives.

I guess it goes to show you. You learn something every day. BTW, I’m still wondering just what the heck is in Velveeta (those big blocks in a box) that allows them to store nearly forever at room temperature.

Don’t know, but I keep a block of it and plenty of crackers right next to the computer. If I don’t have something substantial in my stomach when I take my meds I can really get messed up.

Last night I did a great stirfry, with chicken, lots of veggies, and eye-wateringly hot Szechuan sauce. I’m sure it was better than any of the crap the Obamas ate at that restaurant, and so is just about all of the food mentioned in this thread.

Sushi tacos......geez

Sorry for being crass, but I imagine it’s a “moveable glory hole” kind of deal.

Now that Reggie Love and Kal Penn have been banished from the White Hut by Mooch...A feller’s got to get his lovin’ somewhere.

Of course it does. Just another fab chapter in Prezee Kardashian’s life.

My favs are the “style” articles on that sow Moochelle. Yes, it’s now true....painting your long, hideous toe nails puke green/yellow is “fashion forward”. She dresses like a fat clown....yet is shoved down our throats as some kind of new “Jackie O”. My God, the media have sold out completely.
