CBS has issued a copyright infringement notice to ABC, NBC and CNN. It has come to the notice of CBS that the named networks are infringing on CBS's "fake but accurate" copyright. A recent example is that all three networks reported the hoax of the Notre Dame football player initially as true but later changed the story to fake but avowed that the story was reported accurately. NBC was especially egregious in an infringement when editing the tapes of the white Hispanic and when called out about the editing of the tape stated that although the tape was a fake representation of the actual facts, the story was accurate as a whole. CBS is suing for retroactive payment of copyright fees for past use or license fees if the desire to continue using "fake but accurate" in their operations.

Fake news is always accurate when the people have been dumbed-down, to the point that, they no longer are able to tell when they’re being duped. Plus, fake is accurate, when people need to get “free stuff” from government.
As and example of fake but accurate: the people have been groomed to accept that, 8% unemployment (a fake statistic) is accurate when people are losing their jobs left and right.
Will FreeRepubic be sued too? This thread is fake but accurate.

I find it amusing that CBS would indiate that their new is fake , but accurate.
They are suing for mega-bucks and deep pockets.
However, the other newsbroadcasters could counter-sue for fraud !
FReep is fine ; there are no ‘deep pockets’ to rape and pillage.
