We've had forty cats. Actually, the most we had at once was 55 but we lost several the past couple of years due to old age or illness.
We'll have forty again before much longer, I'm sure. We're overdue for another stray to be dumped at the farm, which is why we have so many. It'll be spayed/neutered ASAP, as all the others have been. We have to maintain at least a little control of our population. LOL!

she eats fur off the floor and furniture
I should invite her over for dinner. Afterwards I can give her my vaccuum sweeper and she can pick up dessert........

I love my 6 cats, but never once have I ever considered eating their hair. Although I have had my face tickled by it!
To: radu
I guess I dont truly love our 39 cats. Ive never even once considered eating their hair. I must be a bad mommy. LOL!
39 cats, nice. My wife has me limited out at 2; a very spoiled 2.
To: LucyT
That is the nastiest thing I have heard today.
Can you imagine all the dirt, grease, germs, fecal matter, etc. that coats these hairs. Cats groom themselves with their tongue, so every hair has been in that cat's filthy mouth.
Was this report done from the woman's hospital room, at her funeral, or in an insane asylum?

Maybe her upcoming bezoar-removal surgery will break her of the habit.
And she’s going to be on a TV show? Why must we celebrate insane perverts and their proclivities?
I forgive you for the ping because you were my first Free Republic friend and helped me so much when I first signed on!
The YouTube link arrived in an email this morning. My stomach has not settled just yet... ;-)

So I guess you have enough imports that you don’t need any domestic production of kittehs? :)

All three of my cats occasionally sleep in or on my bed. I’ve found enough granules of kitty litter in there to keep me from even entertaining the thought of eating cat hair.

We have to maintain at least a little litter control of our population.

From the looks of this Lisa (she is morbidly obese), it seems that she does indeed have a compulsive disorder: compulsively sticking things in her mouth and swallowing them, whether edible or not.
She is fortunate that, in so far as we know, she hasn't suffered a stomach or intestinal obstruction from the fur balls she's ingested. Such a problem is more common in cats and other animals, but does occur in humans as well.

ugh. This makes me want to throw up

I eat cat hair though not intentionally. Her Highness of the Universe and Beyond owns my desk, my comfy chair, my throw and my bed so it is impossible not to have a few fur balls myself. Sadly, it doesn’t taste like cotton candy.
