Your favorite site for facts?
Posted on 02/01/2013 5:48:35 PM PST by usnjay
You're having a debate with a lib, and want to look up facts on a particular argument. What web site do you use? (besides google).
TOPICS: Computers/Internet; Miscellaneous; Reference; Science
KEYWORDS:
I ask because the past election showed many of the so-called fact-checkers such as
politifact are actually more concerned with ideology than facts. FactCheck.org seems good. What do you use?

I use whitehouse.gov. NBC.Com ABC.Com CBS.Com CNN.com and MSNBC.com.
The are by far the most accurate way to get clear hard facts that are 100% true.
(All one needs to do is see what they are asserting as fact and look for the truth, 180 degrees in the opposite direction!)

I use Goodsearch.com
It’s a very good search engine, and has the added benefit of giving a few pennies to the charity of your choice each time you use them
You could probably name your “charity” as FreeRepublic.
I used Second Amendment Sisters, and we have received a check from them for over $100.

It all depends on the topic. Usually Wall Street Journal, Heritage, or other sites like that.

I’d suggest that you make your own site.
You can get a free blog site at multiple places. Put your facts there. You can publish your info or just keep it archived.
After Obama won in November, I started two blogs where I basically keep small excerpts of articles and links to the original. One is called Obamalayoffs and the other Barackonomics.

Facts don’t matter to liberals, so debating them is an exercise in futility.

Trick question: To a liberal, a fact is tbe most irrelevant quantity of all. So just make up stuff, like libs do.
To: Revolting cat!
Wikipedia.org because the facts change daily.
